Medieval type of music really slaps. 2020 may have started terribly but at least good music still exists ANND I'll have plenty of time to hear so much of it. Many tears to be shed.

@@Nazdreg1 Candice & Ritchie adapt many medieval songs and traditional tunes. While Ghost of a Rose was not originally written in the medieval period, many of the songs they perform were.
Lyrics The valley green was so serene In the middle ran a stream so blue A maiden fair, in despair Once had met her true love there and she told him She would say "Promise me, when you see A white rose you'll think of me I love you so, never let go I will be your ghost of a rose" Her eyes believed in mysteries She would lay amongst the leaves of amber Her spirit wild, heart of a child Yet gentle still and quiet and mild and he loved her When she would say "Promise me, when you see A white rose you'll think of me I love you so, never let go I will be your ghost of a rose" Ghost of a rose When all was done, she turned to run Dancing to the setting sun as he watched her And ever more he thought he saw A glimpse of her upon the moors forever He'd hear her say "Promise me, when you see A white rose you'll think of me I love you so, never let go I will be your ghost of a rose" Promise me, when you see A white rose you'll think of me I love you so, never let go I will be your ghost of a rose Ghost of a rose

This song is one of my favourites, it's sad but at the same time is a romantic ballad. When I listen to it I imagine a blonde girl with her pale skin, who holds a white rose and say to her lover "remember me I am your white rose and every white rose you will see you will think about me and our love"

With a friend of mine, I'm working on the first book in a sci-fi novel series set in 1920s France. This song's title and the lyrics' implication of a doomed romance were so evocative they both made me wonder what a "ghost of a rose" would look like. And so, I'm writing it into the book, as the creation of two painters in my tale who are both artistic partners and lovers. Thanks for the inspiration and blessed be. )O(

I remember first finding this song years ago, and absolutely adoring it. Now, having been dragged into the Percy Jackson fandom, I have decided that this song is about Nico and Bianca, and that just makes me love it even more! Just imagine that scene in Battle of the Labyrinth where they talk to Bianca’s ghost, and the chorus is her parting words to Nico… 🥺
I’ve finally brought myself to listen to this song on iTunes (because of anxiety I was actually a little worried something bad might actually happen... I really hope does though since it’s the day before Christmas Eve 😅) This is a very lovely song and the singers voice is very beautiful. These guys are actually almost like Dervish except they don’t sing a lot of catchy Irish songs.

I cannot avoid it: I always remember Fatmagul, a turkish dramatic series' heroine, when I listen this pretty song. Her name means 'The chaste rose'. Her story was tragic, romántic and epic.Sge suffered a lot, but eventually he vanquished her enemies and won a great love.
