6:01 Something interesting to note: hand can only be won if BOTH players hit! As soon as one player stands dealer would get 20 and everyone loses!!! If stand 16 and 12 dealer gets hard 20! If hit 12 after stand on 16, busted and dealer gets soft 20! Same event for stand 12 and hit 16 with the 16 busting instead!

Great session. Get a blackjack basic strategy card. They only cost a couple bucks or download for free. Most casinos let you keep it on the table and reference it. Playing the math gets you more money in the long run and isn’t that why we play?

Also, when dealer stands soft 17, 11 is a hit, not a double against dealer ace and only ace. Also you need to hit your hard 12 vs dealer 3. If you play thousands a hand it pays to look up on wizard of odds on the correct strategy.

Love the channel watch as much as I can. The term swing is usually used for a loss not when you win because it’s counting the potential of what you would’ve had if you won and have a fax your stack. For example, you had a $5000 double if you would’ve lost that would’ve been a $5000 swing. The term comes from Mike baseball, a swing and a miss.

I'm somewhat surprised those players at Red Rock don't negotiate S17. They are giving up 20 basis points with hitting soft 17. Back in the day, I use to play a great quarter double deck game at the Stardust (3:2, S17, DOA, DAS, RSA, LSR) with decent penetration.

A7 is a stay against dealer 2,7,8, double against dealer 3,4,5,6, and hit against 9,10,A when dealer stands on soft 17 as is the case here. When dealer hits soft 17, it is a double against 2 instead of stay. Look up correct basic strategy before you play the game.

an 18 is a losing hand versus a dealers 10. By standing on soft 18 you are betting that the dealers hole card is lower than an 8, and then on top of that the dealer then has to pull a high card and bust. You will win more than you lose hitting on it and trying to improve. Think of it this way, 18 versus a 10 has a worse chance of winning than an 8 versus a 10. So you would hit the 8.
