I remember watching lots of westerns we're there had tones of bloopers like that. Seen episodes of The Lone Ranger knocking an escaping cowboy off his horse, both fall in the water, they get up, the cowboy is soaking wet, The Lone Ranger is bone dry! I always thought it was funny as hell how 2 cowboys in a shootout could unload their 6 shooters and fire 12 bullets, miss hitting anything or hit the bar, wall, and ceiling, yet 10 dead people were dead on the floor! Who really counts or pays attention while watching movies.

Westerns are already terminally wierd as hell, anyway - a whole slew of lone gunfighters, cruising around, rescuing "ladies of the night" and working on their reputation as the fastest gun. They just don't make jobs like they used to, hombre. Maybe working for "Miami Vice" or something, Don Johnson must've killed at least 40 or 50 people. Somewhere in there, it's got to have been little more complicated to "go underground" and buy some kilos of coke. Like, don't sell cocaine to the guy in the Ferrari who needs a shave?

Such a hilarious scene. I love it when their heads turn together. Jim Carter is an award-winning English actor who played Blackie. I always thought the sheriff was "Scotty" from Star Trek, but it is John Orchard; G.W. Bailey is hilarious, as usual;

Tom Berenger's delivery is so wooden in this movie. I know the character is supposed to be stiff, which makes it funnier.

There are so few great comedy westerns and it happens that they all use typical western cliches well. I always put the top four as 1 Support Your Local Sheriff, 2 Rustlers' Rhapsody, 3 Blazing saddles and 4 Support Your Local Gunfighter - however that is probably because I enjoy the performances of James Garner, Harvey Korman and Tom Berenger.
