Blackgang Chine - Triassic Club 2020
A walkthrough of the re-imagined Triassic Club attraction at Blackgang Chine, brought back to the park as a 'pop-up' for October 2020.
Working with the park's tech and maintenance teams, I serviced and re-programmed the three original pneumatic dinosaur figures with new moves and speech synchronisation using Arduino controllers. I also worked on the show elements and lighting design.
The Triassic Club was a walkthrough attraction based around a dinosaur dinner party, which featured these figures and originally opened at Blackgang Chine in 1994, later closing in 2015.

If 6 year old me had seen this when we went to Blackgang this would have ✨traumatised✨ me
Thanks for the video, love the Triassic Club. It was a sad day when the chine took them away !!! Would love to see them outside event periods. Please post more videos of the chine if you have any!
Was really hoping this would return for the 180th, surely it wouldn’t take much work seems as they still have it and it’s working, this sort of thing is what BGC is about! ⚖️ 🦖

That would be nice to see Oscar. I'm no longer working at the park these days but I hope that the dinos can make another return. It was fun reprogramming them and getting them to move again - and the figures are still in very good condition. I would have loved it if we could have found somewhere permanent for them to go - at one stage we'd developed a new walkthrough show for them but this didn't happen which was a shame. Hopefully one day!

@@jamesb1919 I always imagined them converting part of the old ship ashore pub into the Triassic club, obviously that couldn’t happen now extinction has been placed right outside!
I hope this comes out at all times!
