Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane. I was born and brought up on the Island in the 1960's and 70's - going to Blackgang Chine was a really big treat, especially after dark. Glad to see some of the attractions are still there like the Crooked House and maze. We used to call it the most themeless theme park in the country - so random.

I was in isle of Wight on exactly the day this video was made.. 😁

i'm glad you finally made it , nice little parks with 2 good little coasters it won't be long till you've done every uk park keep um coming Andy and thanks for being different .

Thank you. This brings back memories of a holiday my family had probably fifty?years ago. I don't remember much other than the wild west train. A wonderful stroll down memory lane. Weird place, somehow lost in time but magical to a young child or those still young at heart.

Fun fact the rumpus mansion was a house before it with the rumpus mansion and my nana and mum lived in it and the park was her play ground

That’s so cool! I grew up on the Island and went to Blackgang every summer. The Rumpus Mansion was my all time favourite along with the Smugglers Cave that I’m not sure is there anymore

I went on holiday when I was younger over the isle of wight stayed in a caravan . I met a friend . We used to hang out and we went to black gang Chine with my family . It was like the best holiday I can remember 😊

Loved this video. I was a kid back in the 70s every yr went 2 blackgang chine. Every yr bit more gone in the sea such a shame. They moved it over more and got new stuff there aswel as some original stuff that been saved or have brought things that gone back in updated it for the kids today. We had fibre glass dinosaurs that could climb on back then and no rides like now. The original what I can see is the priest, elves in the tree playing music, chimney pots, and nursery land. I Know the water garden is going in the sea last few yrs. Loads have gone thru the yrs it also use 2 b lit up in evenings I don’t know if they still do that. My favourite was the crooked house, cowboy land and the dragon over the gate. Got lovely childhood memories at blackgang chine.

Brilliant again andy. I may just have to go to the isle of wight looks like there is loads to do there.👍

Quite late comment but black gang chime hasn’t lost a any attractions due to the coastal erosion what the company did is they bought a big patch of land then every few years they move everything back so they don’t lose anything

Isle of Wight is beautiful, a lot of history at Blackgang Chine but you do need to do Robin Hill next time!

UK Theme Parks was planning on going for the whole weekend but there wasn’t any hotels available so just went for the day !! Probably have to wait till next year now as both Blackgang and Robin Hill are closing for the season on 6th September

Blackgang Chine a brilliant Theme Park, you said not a lot of people have heard of this park! If that was the case then it would of closed in less than a year. lol + yea i love Needles + Robin Hill. I'm from Kent, i know you posted this a long time ago now but still. lol + you said a small park- 88 acres is not small, where as Phantasialand is. + how did you not know there was all of that in there, you even spoke about them on the park map at the start. lol

Nice one Andy, I went there in 75 and 86 , crazy how much cliff had fallen into the sea. Sure looks different since I was last there, I remember the maze which my dad got lost in , it's definitely a night time park I remember.

Great vlog Mr Andy and I do love it when Charlotte and Martin mess a round. A vlog is a vlog and I loved it and I will be paying a visit to these places in the future.

We've been a number of times and enjoyed it everytime

Born and bred on the Island and wouldn't live anywhere else. Been to the Chine so many times (I'm 52) and still enjoy it now with nieces and nephews and have seen so many changes over the years because of the cliff falls etc.. Glad you came over to the Island and it's nice to see someone not moaning about the ferry prices or the £20 quid to get into Blackgang Chine or that there's nothing to do on the Island. Great first Vlog, looking forward to next one!

This place is like a bunch of american roadside attractions all crammed into one. Closest thing to traditional roadside that i've seen outside the states.

opposite that pier the long one. I have walked down 3 years ago. My B&B Was opposite it. We also went black gang Chine it was good but Rained too much and they said we can come back in the next 6 weeks free but we didnt

The 07:00am crossing was the only one we could book as all the other times were sold out, also the parks opened at 10:00am

1938 tube stock!! The dinos was airlifted in

Ex 1938 stock to be replaced by D78 stock

The red funnel take 2 hours and the drive takes around 30 mins in case anyone wanted to know. Nice

No the train on the Isle Of Wight does not go underground like on the mainland, as it only goes through a short tunnel and you cant class that as going underground

I went there as a child. They used to have life sized dinosaurs

Next time you're at Blackgang Chine there is a fantastic viewpoint just outside the park where you get a good view over the whole park from above and down the coast.

@@Coaster_Crazy If you come out of the theme park and turn right then right again at the top of the hill. So good - we always go to that viewpoint for a look whenever we are down!

Yeah it’s pretty much identical but Cliffhanger is a custom model and the only one

the coaster is not the only one in the world, theres an exact model in a park called Landmark Forest Adventure Park

There is another youtuber thats been, he has 1k i think and he went with a group of friends and got the mine train coaster stuck which was hilarious, his name is fishul and he is massively underrated.

OMG Andy bloody brilliant the laughing donkey again and you highlighted moby dik a bit to much you said you get moist lol . I think on the dark water shoot you got reborn you said it's pitch black then your into the light lol . It's an amazing place shame most of it fell into the sea you deffo need to go back this year or next year spend longer then do the spinnaker tower when you come back guys follow Andy.
