#BLACKBOXINTERVIEW

Bounce Radio Live’s #BLACKBOXINTERVIEWS is an in-depth series where we speak extensively to people that define the culture. Employing a novel-conversational style that features well-paced probing questions, the BlackBoxInterview series is a means of pulling aside the celebrity curtain, unwrapping the layers of mystery they’ve been shielded with, and giving the viewers a one-of-a-kind peek into their lives that they won’t get anywhere else.
In part one of his BlackBox Interview, Flavour N'abania sits down with Ebuka and opens up about his life in lockdown, growing up in Enugu, and his early musical years.

Flavour has such an interesting background story. I'm wondering what would have happened, if he had listened to his mum. There would have been no Flavour. Sometimes parents can almost ruin your destiny, in the name of trying to put you on the right part. Thank God modern parents are starting to understand the need to support thier children, and invest in thier talents.

I had the same judgment as you. Sometimes you have to tell your family the truth, your feelings, and discuss with them. They always try to choose for their children. It's not easy but you have to try to convince them about what you want. Thank god that happened and now everyone is proud and satisfied . god loves him.

Flavour's mom reminds me of my mum. I Was one of the best basketballers in my school team during my secondary school days, but my mum wouldn't let me go for Saturday training sessions at school nor go for matches outside school time. My school, NGS Nike, once qualified to rep Enugu in the Milo school BB competition. We were to go play in Asaba, but I couldn't think out a lie that could make my mum permit me travel with the school team and stay there for days. My school coach gave me a letter for my parents to ask for their permission. I knew my dad wouldn't mind as long as it came from school, but I dared not leave that house without my mum's authorization. At the end of my long thoughts, I didn't show anyone the letter. I tore it and thrashed it. The team went without me. When they came back, the coach wasn't happy with me and the team members made jest of me for not being able to leave my parents house. That was how I quit the team and the basketball dream ended. I still love my mum; bless her soul!

Someone can see Flavour shouting Oyalim and think he is just an artist, without knowing the hard work he has put in.

Wow!!!! Wow!!!! Flavour just gave an inside scoop to how he became the consummate musician that he is. 16 years of preparation before he became an artiste. You can't beat that. I recommended this interview to every up and coming musician. This is the real music business story undiluted.
