Blackbirds Big Band are a student-led ensemble with a love for all things jazz. Their repertoire includes the old-school jazz standards you know and love, contemporary music, world music and some funky fusion, with arrangements featuring their vocalists woven throughout.
This video is QUT Music Society's End of Semester 1 Performance 2024, which took place on 3rd June at Queen Street Mall, Brisbane. Blackbirds Big Band performed alongside String Theory, QUT Concert Band and the QMuSo Orchestra to showcase the music they had worked on over the semester.
