Most likely! I was a huge blackberry user and loved the keyboard. Plus having full screen while typing will be very useful. The scrolling keyboard is just awesome.

I read some of the reviews, the PRIV is the best BlackBerry Camera, it take detailed photos and shoots great videos. While in low light, by adjusting a little bit of the exposure or using the flash, it can take quite good night shots. Its a versatile camera, overall are good.
I think Blackberry could make an awesome smart watch..

Great to hear a more balanced review of the Priv. So many reviews are repeating the same old preconceived circulating stories. The phone is fast and fantastic. Solid build, feels great in the hands. The on-screen keyboard is the best on the market, unparalleled predictive typing! Best sound on the market (for those of you who still use it as a phone!). Too bad it gets so hot! If Blackberry can improve power management and round off its corners, they will have achieved a comeback rarely seen at this scale in this brand driven, image conscious, corporate world! Congrats again TechnoBuffalo for your objective review!
I like the music you guys have been using lately in the background.
It kind of looks amazing... at least really interesting.. I have the S6Edge+ and love the immersiveness of the curved display. I also love the idea of scrolling through stuff using the keyboard. So it has a curved-sides amoled screen, front facing speakers, Cyanogen like allure (amazing), seems a good 18 MP camera, a physical touch sensitive keyboard, is still thin and keeps your information private. Can't wait to see the full reviews pop up.
I want a non-physical keyboard version of this, priced at $549 max. I'd buy it in an instant. Anrdroid or BB10 doesn't matter. Why you may ask, I'm not too deep into BB's physical keyboards, but I have used the Z10 and Z30. There were many occasions where I wrote entire emails/texts without actually "typing" a single word - just flipped the words up as they came. It learns what words I use often and gets smarter at predicting over time. Totally genius.
Awesome video. You guys are getting better daily. Good stuff. I am curious how the phone temp will eventually affect the life of the physical keyboard and if it has any gaming power at all.
they keyboard i thot sucked but after using it and forcing myself to re learn it...its actually pretty amazing. I feel like i got my old bold back.
Great high level review of the Priv.
The BlackBerry Priv like all Blackberries are work horses! Thanks for your review on the BlackBerry Priv. I went out and bought one.
I love this phone...very productive and has a sleek look...and with front speakers...finally a phone with the speakers in the front than the back
Make sure to mention the pop up widgets in the review..very convenient!!!
Try holding down on a key. It lets you shortcut to anything on any key - really cool.
really liked the fornat of this video, great work buffalos
Nice vid. Keep it up man.
That looks like an excellent phone, better than the new iPhone and Samsung. I wish I could have got the new blackberry
lol the fireplace part cracked me up. I have an HTC M9, never had a problem with heat. it seems no matter what processor you use, some of them just get really hot.

+Nathan Salinas It's idiotic that it's exclusive.. whoever cut that deal is an assh0le. The definition of businesses limiting their consumer's choices for supposed profit. But yeah, BB phones have always been really well made. They last easily years and years, kind of like iPhones and newer flagship Android phones.

It has a great fron speaker to the left of the bottom grill. Very crisp sound, you will enjoy it. Compared to the nexus 2 front speakers, its very close to its loudness. Of course 2 seperate speakers is better than one

Will you be reviewing the V10?
The Q10 gets very hot to. In this case it must be the big engine under the hood that's making it warm up like this.
I see you guys possess the infinity gauntlet whoa now that's power!!
I really like physical keyboards, but I also want a good camera. Tough choice between the Priv, GS6, or 6P

+mickery3 If you want a qwerty keyboard get the priv. I you just want a great phone with the best smartphone cam and don't care about the keyboard, get the lumia 950.
how you like the cam? both front and rear
will they be pushing their on screen keyboard to the play store? i kinda want it on my device.
Next year for a build that's almost stock. Other channels say it is BUGGY and CAMERA is too slow. Mostly all software problems. Blackberry needs to get it together!
annnnnnnd right when it seems everything is going right, it has hest issues. Darn! Still, very nice BlackBerry. Thanks for the video Jon!

Looks pretty good
damn Priv videos just flooded my sub box
...sounds like a silly question, but @ the 2:50 mark...what is the brand/model name of the ph. holder? (BTW...picked up the Priv this morning...LOVE !!)
Since the last update mine doesn't get warm at all, & it's speeded up considerably.
Damn it looks amazing!
+TechnoBuffalo Has the heat problem improved? I tried one out and it was very hot doing simple things.
Hey, how about the battery? is it as good as Leap, P'9983, and Q10? All blackberry devices get warm. that's not an issue for me.
Woah. A slider! I miss those.
@HelloKittyFanMan.
4 жыл бұрын
Then why did you ever quit using yours from before?
At 9.4 mm I wouldn't call it thin relative to other phones (for example the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus at 6.9 mm) but not bad for a slider design.
think the heat issue can be fixed with software update?
yeah swiping in from the side to open stuff is useful. But why do you need curved edges for that?
@gr.b.u.m
8 жыл бұрын
+clouds5 Otherwise you'd touch the plastic on the sides and so most of the time the action wouldn't happen. That's what I believe.
Do the review with a BB case on it
Do you see an issues with matching it up with the LG Urbane and I do like to Skype from the shower so is it waterproof...
I haven't heard about the heat issue from other reviews I've seen yet. I blame you microwaving it first...
I just got so many notifications about the Priv.
i got this today the most handsome design on any smartphone. i hope theres a priv 2 please blackberry
Wow, pretty awesome!
Does the Priv have Nouget or split screen yet on T-Mobile?
welcome back to the market Blackberry
Prepare for a SW update from Samsung's Edge variants next year doing something like this
Hi Jon! Hopefully everything's going well? Well do you think that now blackberry will gain as much attraction like Apple, Samsung etc ?
how's battery life been? how would you compare it to the galaxy s6 edge or edge plus?
@HenG20
8 жыл бұрын
Yes! How's battery life compare?
Since it's now running on android, does the priv have emojis you can send without copying and pasting from a website and that other non blackberry users can see? Looks like the emojis tab when you're texting but no one that's done a review has clicked on it surprisingly
How about the music player and the quality of it? I played with the phone in a store and couldn't find a default music app. Just google play music. And that app takes too long to get to an area for actually selecting songs to play.
none of the reviewers were mentioning about the heating issues, could your unit be defective?
Read that heat issue will be cooled with Marshmallow, software update. Another in depth review I read didn't indicate operating heat was an issue.
Does it come with Brick Breaker?
phenomenal hardware...might just be worth the price. I'll be waiting for a price cut however.
I don't think it'll save BB but I'm getting it regardless. I can't wait
Wow, looking good.
I've seen a lot of people giving Blackberry hate over this phone and I don't know why. I haven't been this excited about a phone in a LONG time. I mean remember the Z10 and Z30 and everyone was like "Oh if only it ran Android..." WELL THEY ACTUALLY DID IT PEOPLE!
If I didnt just buy the 6P Id be buying this phone. I think BB did a great job. They built a phone that is functional, and looks amazing.
This is my second Priv in 2 months. Unfortunately, both have failed after a few weeks with booting up. It get's stuck in a loop and I have to end up flashing the phone to get it work. Hard reboots does not help
Will the HTC one m8 ever get updated to marshmallow or at least sense 7?
@ShahidAli-ds4ng
8 жыл бұрын
Yes, end of December.
I have always been a fan of the blackberry 10 OS and I still think it is by far the best. It is good to see that they brought a lot of the functionality to Android. No more downloading countless apps just to get the phone to do one thing. Now you are going to see Android fans switching over to BlackBerry and start saying BlackBerry is better when they have been saying Samsung was.
a physical keyboard eh? my s4 needed a replacement and this might be it
I'm watching this on a BlackBerry key one in 2021 and i still have my BlackBerry priv
I thought you were going to talk about the front facing speakers when you did the fireplace scene lol
hi people so how is the priv now?any over heat or software issues in jun 2017? really appreciate an answer from priv user.thank you.

If you have a thumb, see, then you just push that screeny thing up with one or two of them!
Dat refresh rate
Gotta say this phone looks very professional. I mostly use WP and android 30% out the time(galaxy edge). Dnt really like android but this phone might just do it for me.
Does it have autotext feature?
I need it.
I think it's time for TechnoBuffalo to make the transition to either 1080p60 or 4k videos.

+Joseph Duenas I'm a sucker for 60 fps :(
@Exloar
8 жыл бұрын
+Joseph Duenas I'd be good with 1080@60, however 4k is wasted, especially at this time when 4k displays have a very small installed user base, and the increase in file size would not be worth it. As for the 60fps bump, given the type of video they usually produce, it is definitely worth the upgrade.
@bradywatts1021

60fps is hard to watch unless it's a video game
@Exloar
8 жыл бұрын
+Brady Watts Oh come on not this again.... 60fps video has been around for over a year by this point I'd reckon (on KZread), channels are converting at a steady pace and reception has been great! They have never made anything hard to watch. They simply haven't, it's just not true. At most it will take you a few hours to get habituated to the increase, but once you do get used to it it becomes a standard to you. This becomes especially true when you then watch a video at 24fps.
@MrChip1841
8 жыл бұрын
+Joao Pires (Exloar) I agree. I prefer 1080p60, but 4k would be nice for those who can utilize it.
Also could it be just your review unit that maybe has a defect causing it to get hot?
As a hardcore BlackBerry user (typing on my Passport as we speak) , and was very disappointed with BlackBerry switching to Android. However, after seeing the reviews I believe in terms of business it is a very wise choice. Blackberry needs the sales and I believe Android will provide this. I just hope they will keep BlackBerry 10 on the air and will bring new devices.
i got my blackberry priv today .. i was soo happy to have it but after using for few hours i started to have some doubts about it ive been watching lots of videos about this phone for almost two or 3 weeks to know if i should buy it or no ... but i finally it bought it and costed me lots of money ... i will answer your questions guys 1- battery : battery life is kinda short you will have to charge it many times in one day , the battery dry so fast in less than one minute 2- front camera : its very bad when you take selfi specially using when you use snapchat .. its the worst camera for snapchat 3- back camera : not bad , and sure Samsung galaxy edge 7 and 6 much better 4- the heating : it heats so fast , you can feel the heat with any simple use 5- physical keyboard : its perfect the phone's colors : not so good .. kinda dark thats all for now .. because its the first day .. if i found anything else i will tell you guys if anyone has any question about it , ask me and i will answer honestly
