I read some of the reviews, the PRIV is the best BlackBerry Camera, it take detailed photos and shoots great videos. While in low light, by adjusting a little bit of the exposure or using the flash, it can take quite good night shots. Its a versatile camera, overall are good.

Great to hear a more balanced review of the Priv. So many reviews are repeating the same old preconceived circulating stories. The phone is fast and fantastic. Solid build, feels great in the hands. The on-screen keyboard is the best on the market, unparalleled predictive typing! Best sound on the market (for those of you who still use it as a phone!). Too bad it gets so hot! If Blackberry can improve power management and round off its corners, they will have achieved a comeback rarely seen at this scale in this brand driven, image conscious, corporate world! Congrats again TechnoBuffalo for your objective review!

It kind of looks amazing... at least really interesting.. I have the S6Edge+ and love the immersiveness of the curved display. I also love the idea of scrolling through stuff using the keyboard. So it has a curved-sides amoled screen, front facing speakers, Cyanogen like allure (amazing), seems a good 18 MP camera, a physical touch sensitive keyboard, is still thin and keeps your information private. Can't wait to see the full reviews pop up.

I want a non-physical keyboard version of this, priced at $549 max. I'd buy it in an instant. Anrdroid or BB10 doesn't matter. Why you may ask, I'm not too deep into BB's physical keyboards, but I have used the Z10 and Z30. There were many occasions where I wrote entire emails/texts without actually "typing" a single word - just flipped the words up as they came. It learns what words I use often and gets smarter at predicting over time. Totally genius.

+Nathan Salinas It's idiotic that it's exclusive.. whoever cut that deal is an assh0le. The definition of businesses limiting their consumer's choices for supposed profit. But yeah, BB phones have always been really well made. They last easily years and years, kind of like iPhones and newer flagship Android phones.

I have always been a fan of the blackberry 10 OS and I still think it is by far the best. It is good to see that they brought a lot of the functionality to Android. No more downloading countless apps just to get the phone to do one thing. Now you are going to see Android fans switching over to BlackBerry and start saying BlackBerry is better when they have been saying Samsung was.

+Joseph Duenas I'd be good with 1080@60, however 4k is wasted, especially at this time when 4k displays have a very small installed user base, and the increase in file size would not be worth it. As for the 60fps bump, given the type of video they usually produce, it is definitely worth the upgrade.

+Brady Watts Oh come on not this again.... 60fps video has been around for over a year by this point I'd reckon (on KZread), channels are converting at a steady pace and reception has been great! They have never made anything hard to watch. They simply haven't, it's just not true. At most it will take you a few hours to get habituated to the increase, but once you do get used to it it becomes a standard to you. This becomes especially true when you then watch a video at 24fps.

Also could it be just your review unit that maybe has a defect causing it to get hot?

As a hardcore BlackBerry user (typing on my Passport as we speak) , and was very disappointed with BlackBerry switching to Android. However, after seeing the reviews I believe in terms of business it is a very wise choice. Blackberry needs the sales and I believe Android will provide this. I just hope they will keep BlackBerry 10 on the air and will bring new devices.

i got my blackberry priv today .. i was soo happy to have it but after using for few hours i started to have some doubts about it ive been watching lots of videos about this phone for almost two or 3 weeks to know if i should buy it or no ... but i finally it bought it and costed me lots of money ... i will answer your questions guys 1- battery : battery life is kinda short you will have to charge it many times in one day , the battery dry so fast in less than one minute 2- front camera : its very bad when you take selfi specially using when you use snapchat .. its the worst camera for snapchat 3- back camera : not bad , and sure Samsung galaxy edge 7 and 6 much better 4- the heating : it heats so fast , you can feel the heat with any simple use 5- physical keyboard : its perfect the phone's colors : not so good .. kinda dark thats all for now .. because its the first day .. if i found anything else i will tell you guys if anyone has any question about it , ask me and i will answer honestly

You do know only the glass part of the screen is curved. The actual screen does not go over the edge as much as the S6 Edge does.

I have the priv, got it this morning as soon as the Rogers store opened. I will confirm that the phone does infact get rather hot, almost uncomfortably so.
