I really like the idea that the Nika fruit and Imu's fruit are progenitor fruits that produced many fruits. It's weird that some awakenings have white sashes while other have dark sashes. I think it links to where the devil fruit originated from Nika's Dreams or Imu's Nightmares.

Blackbeard is a master planner!!!! They had two routes: Robin or Pudding. Robin AND Big Mom were in Wano with Kaido and the Worst Generation. So naturally he took Pudding because the risk of casualty was low. Devon touched Pudding to use her ability, but Devon can’t interpret the information because it’s an innate talent that Pudding has. Since Pudding isn’t cooperating, Devon and Augur warped to Robin, stole her memories, and then got Saturn’s identity as a 2 for 1 deal because they didn’t know he was going to be there. They were coming for Robin. Robin doesn’t remember because they took her memory and are going back to Pudding to make a deal with her. Then on top of that, Caribou is about to give them the location of the ancient weapons. Luffy is loud and charges in without a plan. Blackbeard is quiet and ALWAYS goes in with a plan. He’s actually masking his moves around whatever Luffy does.

My main gripe with this entire line of thought is that, thematically speaking, Imu just makes for a significantly more satisfying main antagonist. The oppression to Luffy's liberation, the 'god' to Luffy's 'D' clan; it's far more poetic for the Joyboy of the present to overcome what the Joyboy of the past could not: Imu.

Within the theory imu represents the restriction/ tyranny / oppression, and the counter side of that is freedom represented by luffy / Joyboy On the other half of the pie Blackbeard represents the melancholy/ sadness, and luffy / nika represents joy When both sides are whole as the fullness, then muciper represents both the restriction and melancholy

@@spiritualliving8318 This honestly feels like shoehorning for the sole sake of forcing Blackbeard to be the final antagonist, when Imu alone already flawlessly fulfills that role. Blackbeard is a mere blip on the 800 years of pain and suffering that Imu is indirectly responsible for. Also, apart from a solitary drawing of him as a child, Blackbeard has had nothing to tie him to the concept of sadness in any way. He is far more jovial than any form of melancholy, at least as far as we are aware. If anything, Blackbeard is more directly linked with caution and fear, being the only known D clan member to date to panic in the face of death. This entire theory is shaky at absolute best, and that's putting it generously. Also, the reveal of the Elders make it all the more likely now that Imu isn't even a fruit user, but rather is a flat out demon or god, and that puts a MASSIVE hole in this theory.

There’s more to the theory and you don’t even know it if you didn’t listen, but there was more than this video. But essentially the expanded theory is that Blackbeard is Davy Jones locker, he’s the only one capable of harboring the full power of muciper. The kraken spirit aka muciper was put into position by Davy Jones via ritual. That’s why imu is a false ruler who only rules form the shadows. When Blackbeard aborbs muciper out of imu he will be at full power. His special lineage makes him the only one capable wielding the full power of mucifer plus even WBs fruit on top. When BB takes over however he won’t rule from the shadows, he will turn the world into one of anarchy and piracy like beehive island. And he will bestow onto his captains the same powers the gorosei wields, the gorosei wield these powers due to imus blessing, and their conquerors haki is channeled from imu.

Blackbeard sent his crew to egghead to capture vegapunk’s identity through Catarina. Since Saturn was there, their mission was complete since they can infiltrate the holy land using saturn’s identity instead of vegapunk’s. They did not know about vegapunk’s assassination attempt which is why they were there, if they knew they wouldn’t go. BB came up by coincidence but he’s def going to get Imu’s DF if they have one. BB prob use Saturn’s identity to send the other elders/holy knights elsewhere while they infiltrate and eventually discovering imu and finesse another fruit.

I feel like Akainu will fight Dragon as well as Kuzan, Sabo, and Luffy in the future. But the question is who's gonna be the one to finish him. It will probably be Sabo, but Kuzan works just as well.

I think I like the idea of Imu having the attachment to the sea since it feels like it (excuse the pun) holds more water when taking into account the totality of the One Piece world. Interesting element of that, though, would be the role of the Abyss, or the Abyssal, in kind of capturing the ideas being discussed re: Mu/the void, in which case Mu/the void is not a generalized darkness or space-oriented blackness, but the very specific darkness of the deep ocean (which can be considered the most terrestrial example of an/the abyss). If fears/nightmares play into our considerations, then they'd hold up here, since the vast and bizarre unknown attached to the ocean's deepest trenches and most unexplored regions is the source of countless legends across time, culture, and geography. This thinking would also allow us to maintain our attachment to the very useful, and seemingly very applicable, folklore surrounding the Umibozu. What this has to do with Blackbeard, if anything, is beyond all of us right now, I'd wager, but I vibe with this speculative vision of Imu more than one that only imagines Imu's abilities as having to do with one, but not all of: darkness, nightmares, fear, water. I think this framing lets us have all of them. But Oda will get us the answers in about a decade, as the oceans rise and Imu fr fr takes over, so we'll have to wait and see (sad)lol

So let me expand the theory a little bit. What about there are 3 pieces of the Yami Yami, which are Blackbeard, Imu, AND Moria. In the same logic there would be 3 pieces of the Gomu Gomu, Luffy, the Mera Mera, and someone else (maybe Kid, maybe Law, Dragon, idk). Then we have Blackbeard taking and absorbing the three pieces and achieving his prime. And he fights Luffy, Sabo and the other someone, which would make the prime of Yami Yami vs the prime of Gomu Gomu, through paralel means. Btw, Sabo might die against Akainu and Koby might eat the Mera Mera, taking his role in the final fight against Blackbeard

I can’t imagine how much stronger Luffy is going to become. Saint Garcia Saturn specifically mentions how Luffy has yet to Meet Nike to make a complete transformation. So, what I got was.....Blackbeard's fruit and Imu would work alot like Kaido and Momo. The difference is, it wouldn't be a smile. Blackbeard and Imu have the same power, but Blackbeard won't "awaken" until he "absorbed" Imu. There are alot of precursors in One Piece. So, I actually kinda like it.

It’s just a placeholder name for the entity residing in imu which is a combination of imu and Lucifer, mucifer. We have further expanded on this theory actually now but I will probably never release the rest to the public.

What if in the same way Luffy's devil fruit is based on the Sun God Nica, Blackbeards fruit is based on a devil or demon, but the devil or demon that it's based off of is Imu itself. I mean it would be as simple as someone seeing Imu and saying to themselves, 'thats OP as F, i want that' and boom, the Yami Yami no mi is now a thing. I think when Blackbeard awakens his fruit he will be able to deal damage with his darkness in the same way Imu did to Sabo with the devil tail. I think that devil tail was made of blackbeards 'darkness' and that's why it messed Sabo up so badly.

Fantastic theory. I've always believed Imu to be a manifestation of the devil fruit. The only issue in the two fragments of the same DF "The Yami Yami" is that BB always said that the fruit called for him like it spoke with him. So if the so called "Devil" of fruit itself is with Imu, how could it called for BB. Something is missing here.

I think it's going to be like the eye of the moon plan except he actually blots out the sun with the darkness devil fruit and has earthquakes and creates Armageddon along with freezing the earth. also with gecko morias fruit creates zombies?

Man some of these theories too out there for me man, got some neat one out there but man. All this mucifer, dark nika, possession stuff is wild idk. Also don't most mythical zoans have a paramecia or logia component to them, ain't nothing out of the ordinary with the nika DF. Though Arthur from LOH has an interesting take on the Nika df. Him not being real and just a legend akin to a comic book character or superhero, people make up. We know DFs are this man made wonder from the void century so maybe someone created that DF inspired by those same legends or stories/picture books about Nika.

I think it was purposeful that oda showed us what Boa said about undoing a person power in the same chapter that blackbeard appeared. What if Imu is a result of the power of the Last Yami Yami no mi user, which could be a Shadow Clone like what Moriah has. Imus shadow then became sentient through the will of wanting to be king of the world. BB could possibly try to absorb the shadow imu and fuse it with himself to become king of the world. Being that he's the current yami yami user.

maybe saturns regen power is actually an extension of Imus yami logia power in action. thats exactly what it would look like to be fair. so blackbeard would get his logia powers in full with regen abilities

Essentially the nika and Yami fruit are one piece exclusive deities so that sets them apart from other god fruits, that’s the theory. And the spirit of the yami fruit was transferred into imu, with the residual darkness and what not still remaining in the fruit but missing the spirit. So when BB absorbs imu the fruit is whole again and is unlocked to it’s true power. Basically at that point he will have his counterpart of nika awakening.

I believe yami yami no mi is actually zoan. Otherwise, there is no other explanation for him still tangible despite being logia

2 main fruits, Nika fruit and Imu fruit, every other fruit can fall into derivative categories under those 2. That’s hc, but the theory essentially is that BBs fruit is not a logia, rather it’s a mystical zoan deity like the nika fruit. It was mis characterized and misunderstood because darkness is naturally occurring which all logias have to be. So just like how we thought luffys was a paramecia but it wasn’t, we think Bbs is a logia but it’s not. That’s the theory.

Well it was a mix of me and my friends ideas, although the core BB stuff was all him, but it was refined through our debates. We both had some similar ideas of the final war, however originally I thought imu would be final villan. Imu and BB having conflict is inevitable, Imu hates Ds, and BB wants the world. But we know narratively imu cannot defeat BB because BB has to be beaten by luffy. Imu can be beaten by anyone, but BB is linked to luffy.

i hate when ppl say this fruit is just stronger than that fruit its like yea but no at a base lvllike when you just eat the fruit magma might be better than the flame flame fruit but say in a few months or yrs depending how you use the fruit and how far you take it the flame flame fruit might be better/hotter than the magma fruit as it all depends on the user of the fruit this is why I want sabo vs akainu so its clearer that its the user that make the fruit

I miss the part where we focused on BBs bloodline and Xebec and how it ties into the endgame rather than contrived theories on the darkness darkness fruit. The Yami Yami fruit isnt what makes BB special its his bloodline ability and how it interacts with the dark dark fruit. Blackbeard could be a distant cousin of the nerona family Im starting to think that Xebec was like luffy but without the charisma and that the propaganda agaisnt him was Imu's projection of what he was successful in doing and so Blackbeard thinks hes following in Xebec's will but hes actually following what Imu did to become king of the world
