Love the black and gold Melyd. I always love watching you paint. Awesome!!!!!
WOW, I think is absolutely gorgeous, Mel, I love your colors. Thank you for the video and God Bless.
Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
I like how you said “it feels good to be back instead of trying other people’s techniques“. I need to trust my instincts more when I paint. I do tend to look for inspiration from other artists, like you, instead of allowing my own creativity and imagination to inspire me. Thank you for reminding me of that. But I do love watching you! You are feisty and you speak your mind! Loving the old school MelyD vibe.
Fantastic!👏👏👏👏👏
man, u made it happen - from the paint talk prep 2 the final analysis of the overall result 😊
Every pretty!
I love you & your work!
Beautiful
I love being surprised by the dried version, often such a transformation. Thank you for your generous step by step demos. Very helpful and so very pretty.
Gorgeous
Awesome!!!
I had said I want black white and teal. Then I was looking and yo I already did it and it was gorgeous. That gold is spectacular !
Awesome as usual
I love the fact that you did NOT need to use a TORCH..I'm just a beginner and am not partial to a torch..🤣 Love it!!
This is beautiful. Love the texture, composition, the colours.
Wow! I love it! You are rocking it old school and letting it shine!!! ❤🦋

This is perfect!! I think the black pond is my fav,

Yay!! Happy to hear it :)
I just found your channel this evening and subscribed. Beautiful work.
Thingamajiggy...crack me up! It is crazy how the gold looks like 2 colors! 👍
The one thing I can count on with your work is the crisp lines. Old school or not, it works! You were one of the first artists I saw doing the pour art technique and you hooked me. Sometimes I find myself over stimulated with so many different techniques and get so frustrated. I find myself coming back for the simple is best attitude and it actually is the best. It's grounding for me. You are a gem!
It's very beautiful. The one other color is working out great. Awesome results
Absolutely stunning! Planning to create an art piece with these minimalist color combination for my living room. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on moving hope you luv your new place. The finger wreck was very cool this turned out amazing 👍🏼 agree do your own thing if it works for you.
Beautiful composition!
It’s beautiful! I think the gold in the large black area makes a sideways heart. 💞
I like this!!!
The end result is beautiful, the way the gold reacted with the black looks stunning. ❤️

WOW👍👏👏😀
Loving it, just beautiful.
You ROCK!!!!!
I love this.
In the middle of the painting, I see a girl with a small waist with long flowing hair in a gold dress. Looks like a crown on her head too. Gorgeous!
I love it! It's so beautiful!!!
Yes, beautiful and cool!!!
Stunning!!
Absolutely beautiful!! I love this!! I'm not a huge gold fan but that is gorgeous!!♡♡♡♡
Elegant and stunning!!! 🖤⭐
That turned out so gorgeous!❣️

This is a STUNNER!!!!
Loved it
I love the gold. Beautiful
Gorgeous artwork l love this art ❤😍
The technique rocks! Yay!
W.O.W. Just stunning!
Looks like an expensive piece of granite! Gorgeous!
MelyD, I noticed you use DecoArt Pouring Medium and said Floetrol and glue are not pouring mediums. Why do you prefer a proper pouring medium over Floetrol or glue? Will the DecoArt help the paint to self-level as Floetrol does? And, yes, I love the reaction of black and gold as well. Pretty piece.🖤
I love your artwork 🖼 Amazing 😉🥰
Looking good 🧚🏼♀️❤️🧚🏼♀️
Came out Great! James

Dooooope!!!!
Really pretty Mely
I love these three colors together especially the negative e space, you are awesome Mely. Thanks fit sharing.
This is amazing!!
Love it!!💕
Was curious as to when you started painting? I started back in elementary school but Life happened and I hadn't gave it much thought until recently and now I'm in my 40s. I find it's so self satisfying and calming!
Yay now here is MelyD!! I know you have wanted to try other people’s ideas and techniques, but staying authentic is what attracts others to our art... rock on and keep pushing your experiments lead by your intuition and enthusiasm. Good to see you back again....your art is always much more exciting and deep compared to anything else. Art is about working from the inside... out...😘

You're absolutely right and thank you for telling me :)
I love the gold fractal edges and the cell action @ bottom
You do keep me guessing, the end results are the best
And then we have the dark Pond of Death with the little swirl of glitter... and a seagull xD
I love it!

Love the idea for this series! I for one am learning so much from you guys. Suggest an apple green sometime. Thank you for doing this!!!

Apple green is on the list! :)
I'm sorry, I disagree about the glue. A good archival glue works better than any pouring medium has for me. No little lumps and bumps at all like I have gotten with floetrol and deco art pouring medium. I have issues stirring for long periods of time due to physical limitations. Glue is a better choice for me and works fine....that being said I still love your videos!
@MelyDartist

I'm not sure about archival glue but whatever works for you! The point of my videos is to show people how 'I' do it, whatever happens on your end is up to you ;)
Absolutely gorgeous!! I love doing black, white, and one other color. Copper is pretty in that combination. Maybe you can do one of those. 😊🌺🎨🌺😊

That one would be tornado alley 😀
Love it. I think I'll use red instead of White

How you can get that from a puddle pour is incredible
Very nice ..... India
Beatiful kiss❤❤
I would love to see different shades of blue and probably silver and don't go too light on the blue🤩
Nice work! Liked it great before u added more black but yr result is awesome
how do you manage to have so many cells, me not able to have them they are small big. like a pea. thank you for giving me something thank you
Super!!! How do we know how much paint we need?
@MelyDartist
3 жыл бұрын
The amount of paint depends on the technique and I have never measured. I always prepare more than I think I will need and keep the left overs.
Amazing! I saw the cat walk through as you were painting and I wondered if you ever get cat hair on your paintings?
@MelyDartist
4 жыл бұрын
I do but rarely :)
I have searched EVERYWHERE for the decoart satin enamels, I found red, I cannot find white anywhere! Not Michael's, hobby lobby, Walmart, Amazon doesn't even have it! HELP PLEASE! Tell me where to get it
Love it. Like the lacing/pebbles at the bottom. Is that from the DecoArt medium? I used those colours in a puddle pour based on one of your keep it simple series. Glad you are “back”. Your artwork is so original. You don’t need those other techniques
@MelyDartist

The pebbles are the reaction between the artist loft flow acrylic and the DecoArt metallic gold. Thank you so much :)
Love this one. What about cranberry and teal?
@MelyDartist
4 жыл бұрын
Teal was done in the last video. Cranberry could be added to the list :)
I saw your kitty go by. How do you keep hair out of your pours? Or do you get hairs, especially in the resin. Not the hair your paint created.
@MelyDartist
4 жыл бұрын
Not the hair your paint created LOL that was cute :) when I see a hair I remove it right away while the painting is wet. I usually don't have cat hairs in the final product although it has happened a few times. Its really not the end of the world when it's blended with colors. It use to freak me out but I've learned to let go :)
