This isn’t a remastered version it’s a re-recorded version of knives and pens, black veil brides wanted to re-record their first album we stitch these wounds because they had a low budget of $6000 and they were recording at a jingle studio, when they finished the album they didn’t like the outcome of the material so they decided to re-record their first album 10 years later for the anniversary of the album so the re-recording of the album is called re-stitch these wounds. Black veil brides have 5 albums in total plus they have two EPs. Andy Biersack was 16 years when the knives and pens music video was released and when the song was written. Black veil brides in the end music video was released in 2013 so was their album Wretched and Divine. Andy Biersack is 6’2. Black veil brides went through different line-up changes over the years, the current line-up is Andy Biersack vocals, Jake Pitts lead guitar, Jinxx rhythm guitar, Violinist and piano player, Christian coma drummer or “CC” stage name, finally Lonny Eagleton bassist he replace Ashley Purdy former bassist and no Ashley Purdy is a guy not a girl lol. Album 1. We stitch theses wounds (2010), album 2. Set the world on fire (2012), album 3. Wretched and Divine (2013) , album 4 self-titled Black Veil brides (2014), album 5 Vale (2018) and finally they have two EPs rebels (2012) and The Night (2019) don’t forget they released a re-recording of their first album we stitch theses wounds which their calling re-stitch theses wounds, finally the band are working on a new album (BVB6) which will be released early to mid of next year

THis is so much fun to watch, and you guys are a lot of fun with your reactions. If I remember right Andy was like 17 when the origional Knives and Pens was recorded and the video was filmed about a year after that so yeah his voice has changed a lot in that time since he was just a little bab when it was origionally written. It's super fun to see how much his voice has changed and matured over time :3

I know this is "old", but I still have to say: It's so fun(ny) watching this after your In The End reaction (also great). Your genuine surprise and excitement made me very happy! Too bad you haven't done any BVB reactions since this. p.s. People have very possibly told you this already: Th version of the song you hear in the og video is their very first (demo) recording. The one on the og album is a different one and they pitched Andy's voice up to match the video, cause it had already gotten deeper 😅

First one we heard was "In the end" and then this song. Thats why we were so in shock 🤣 had to double check if we were on the same band. Im glad you liked the reaction 😊!

In The End was recorded in 2012 and the album it was on, Wretched and Divine, came out in 2013.

They made that like 10 years ago on a shoestring budget. I think he was like 16 when he filmed that.

There's only 3 members even than it wasn't formed yet. Andy the front man just left to LA at the age of 18 I believe I could be wrong. That guitarist never played for them since and the drummer is a female. Which I believe was never in the band just an filler

The original song imo isn’t that good. But the remake is far superior

In my opinion, the screams sound kinda shit because of KZread’s low music quality. The screams sound so much better on the major music streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music.

Personally I'm not a big fan of the remakes of their songs. I feel like they don't mix as well with Andys more mature voice. The instrumentals are on point though.
