Yes, the guys, and especially Andy were drunk as fuck when they accepted their award, but they were also pissed off that people can't just sit back and let people have their moment. As Ashley said, they're obviously doing something right if all these people hate them. They also must be doing something right because they keep winning awards! Their style of metal is cookie cutter. It's not original and very generic. There are bands out in the metal realm that are actually pushing the envelope at a very young age and these guys are winning awards for billboard style metal. I've been very disappointed in the Golden Gods the passed few years.

They definitely NOT rock and roll. That music is now called "classic rock," and not a single one of their songs emulates the sound of rock and roll unless you attest to some fake bastardization of popular and well-understood musical genres. It's a show put on by a METAL MAGAZINE.

What you guys don't understand is what pisses them off most is that they get so much hate from the mainstream but they're also getting hated on in their own scene. People classify them as scene or emo, even though their latest albums are really not emo, music wise. They work their butt off only to constantly get shot down by the people that love the same bands that they love. People say that they just have teenage girls for fans, as if that's somehow bad. First of all, it just Isnt true, but teenage girls are also capable of liking a band because the music speaks to them. How many metal heads who like iron maiden also get off on girls like lizzy hale or Maria Brink ? Does it not count that they are attracted to the vocalists? Does it mean they can't like the band? You are all calling them immature, but you know what's immature ? Booing a band that won an award cause you don't like them.

Andy said on a podcast that the audience knew they’d won before they even announced it, because the audience could see them around the corner of the stage (it’s not a big venue). They were apparently spitting at them. Andy had a sentimental speech planned about his grandfather that he was excited to give, got disheartened at the response from the crowd and was just like ‘fuck it.’ I’m glad he stood up for himself

Even as a life long metal fan i never cared what anyone thought of my taste. I listened to matchbox 20 as much as i did white zombie. Jewel and guns n roses. In flames and michelle branch. I never listened to anyone elses opinions. So when i found bvb i had no preconceived judgment. All i heard was some awesome music, and a passion like no other artist. A passion for people. A mission, not to make money, or have their opinions be heard by the world, but a mission to create a community of people who love, and care for eachother. To let everyone who needs someone know that they are not alone. That bad circumstances can be overcome and life can be, should be, a positive experience. Its disgusting that their message has been met, by the mainstream, with this sub genreing, lifestyle labeling bullshit. Any band worth its salt doesnt pigeon hole themselves. Craig mabbott is on record saying he hates it, and its all just metal to him. Guns n roses, and bvb just refer to themselves as rock n roll. Metallica, in flames, and countless more constantly defy genre. Music is music. Most of it spawns from five or less roots. The industry turning it into what it has should be criminal, and all you doucbenozzles who feed into it can get fucked.

It's crazy I had to listen to it twice but I totally know it's the band Dayshell. But I do not know which song it is. I could probably figure it out if I went through every single song. Pretty good band, their first two albums were independent and had some good tracks. The guy that fronted it was the former bass guitarist for Of Mice & Men.
