Black Uhuru-What is Life
A question with a lot of answers...and follow-up questions.
From the production, "Black Uhuru Alive".
This was a memorable concert held at the (original) Ritz in New York City, on June, 11 1986.
Black Uhuru, in this incarnation, consisted of founder Duckie Simpson, Junior Reid and the incomparable Puma Jones. The band on this particular tour, featured Santa Davis on drums, Earl (Chinna) Smith on guitar, Chris Meredith on bass, Anthony (Asher) Brissett on keyboards and Sky Juice on percussion.
Special thanks to the crew-cameramen: Jefferson Miller, Jabari and Bill Megalos, engineer: Dan Epstein, camera assistants: Stuart Sporn and Orville Bennett, sound engineer Steve Remote, lighting designer Edgar Gordon, and of course, visionary director, Stafford Ashani, may he rest in peace, my partner in Reggae Strong for many years.

this is an odd show. with 2 remaining vocalists it is not a huge favorite. though Puma shines in this concert footage. it is our last chance to have seen her..

@@ReggaeStrongTV yeah, i think i misspoke. because i really enjoy Junior Reid's vocals and performing style. i guess i just wish there was more Puma on Video. BTW thank you for posting the Playlist. to me, this is my favorite Black Uhuru Live show i have seen. i keep watching over and over.
