A quick update regarding the release date of the Dukes - Due to the delay of SU15 from Asobo/Microsoft we are also going to need to delay the release of the Dukes unfortunately. Best laid plans and all that. And that´s the best part, because I have read a few times on the internet that this Duke was an expensive comfortable and luxurious airplane and over time many only average-rich-guys needed to give up this plane because of the maintenance and fuel costs. In reviewing the aircraft in 2008, Rick Durden of AVweb stated, built to the quality standards of a King Air, the six-place Duke sported 380 hp [280 kW], Lycoming TIO-541 engines - rare beasts, those - which means when both come due for overhaul, the choice is the overhaul or buying a small house in the Midwest. This wonderful simulation allows to own something many times not even many rich people can afford :D

Very impressive, can’t wait! The piston engine startup sounds are awesome. FYI, the A2A Comanche has an engine heater as well, albeit an electric plug-in type.

And it takes into account leaving it plugged in when you quit the game which is a pretty neat tricks. The plane keeps track of the time passed and can have bad consequences if you leave it sitting for long periods of time with nasty oil in it.

Mainly fly Airliners, but really looking forward to this one. Just Flight is doing some great work.

I was waiting for a video on the flight model too, but somewhat unsurprisingly, it never came. This tells me what I need to know about this product. Systems, sounds, extra features. It's all there. And the flight model, just like with the other BS planes, will probably get a 1-sentence-long section in the product features ;) Oh well. Not for me.

Does Black Square have a presence online? I wish they could give some love to the Velocity XL. It seems that aircraft is the black sheep of the Black Square family. They don’t even mention it in other manuals when the list their other products 😭. Some love for the Velocity XL yeah?

Love how this airplane simulates either an easygoing one-click starter (turbine version) very forgiving and easygoing no matter how cold and wet it is, but still all the important details simulated like hot starts or different starts depending on wind blowing in the air duct or exhaust... or flying the true classic original that was not converted to turbine, a stubborn piston beast that really needs to be warmed up before starting, almost kicking out the circuit breaker at every starter motor engagement. We are achieving X-Plane P3D and DCS levels here :) when the poor Duke has spend his night outside the hangar in Anchorage the engines really need a good warming up before soaring through the skies. Will the morse code beeping of TACAN and VOR stations also be audible on the radios? And I have seen another detail: There is a blood oxygen indicator on that tablet - what happens when it reaches zero? The screen going black and the sounds fading? Will blood oxygen and carbon monoxide leaks be fully simulated? When the engine health drops below 50% is it planned to silently play some metallic rattling sound that gets louder and louder the more damage the engine takes? Can instrument light bulbs for the gauges fail, forcing the pilot to switch on flood lights which makes nightly rainy landings more challenging? :)

Did you ever sort out the engine heating speed from cold. In the bonanza the oil would be to operating temp within 1 minute of turning the engine on.

Yes! That’s a problem with most MSFS Aircraft (except A2A).

Yes, correct A2A has nailed it in that department. If black square have sorted it out, this plane will be on par with the comanche, i think. I'm very excited!

Request: For the temperature on the tablet, I'd prefer to see a toggle switch for °F/°C, rather than having both displayed. Easier to read, less chance to misread. Same as is already shown in the Payload tab for 'gal/lbs' vs 'L/kg'. And a practical question: If you use the battery cart, would you normally start the right engine, hop out (door being on the left) to unplug it and move it away, then hop back in and start the other engine? Or would it be more normal for a helper at the airfield to do this for you? These are the kinds of questions that come to mind when trying to use my sim more immersively, and which manuals, checklists and the like do not usually answer.

You'd normally need to move the heater over to the second engine yourself. But there have to be limits sonewhere I guess, even in an addon this detailed. You could always just 'simulate; (pretend) that you've popped outside and moved it over to the other engine.

In real life, getting out of the airplane with an engine running is a big no no. That would definitely be the job of a helper.

Once when working as a ramp guy, we had one of our tenants fly in from Martha's Vineyard in his TBM-850, and he had left the aux cowl plug in and as a result he couldn't get the plane to go into "850 mode", and when he landed, the cord to the Remove Before Flight flag had blown over the exhaust, and melted. The add thing is, that he got the main inlet cowl plug but forgot the one on the side.

Will Dukes enter the in-game market?

Ok what plane are you guys getting first? I'm definitely going for the turbine version with my TDS 750 garmin!😁👌👍

Not we'll be doing that pretty soon though and there will be a bundle containing both versions at a discounted price.

JustFlight could you please fix the Piper Arrow that is advertised on Aerosoft’s website as XP12 compatible, I just bought it .. got the SkunkCrafts XP12 update .. and the GPS displays both 540 and 750 are dark blue not black, and the prop animation from inside the plane is near invisible .. same for your XP12 C152 .. at least the prop animation . the C152’s GPS screen is black like it should be in the C152. Thankyou

That's an issue with AS advertising them as XP12 compatible. You need to claim for a refund from them. They will hopefully be fully Xp12 compatible in the future but that's not the case currently.
