While Ivan’s Black Sorrow sounds like he’s grieving someone hopelessly , i feel like mizi version sounds more vengeful and almost angry.

Exactly what I felt like too, the tone felt more aggressive than when Ivan sang it. Definitely what Mizi would sing after losing Sua.

Mizi's version going strong since the beginning instead of building up like Ivan's. How should I say it, you can definitely feel the sorrow, yet hers and Ivan's sorrows are totally different. Same emotion but both give you different feelings and you could sense it from the voices... Fascinating!

interpretation Feels like ivan was trying to keep his emotion in check during his song until he finally broke towards the end. emotions pouring in after all the buildup meanwhile mizi is already broken she has nothing to hold back. so she gives her all both versions really fit well their story context . I love how the songs interpretation changes in both of the circumstances. This song was very well written

It has a very different vibe compared to Ivan's. Sounds like a version that she would sing AFTER what happened to Sua, and not before...

I listened to the song after reading 2 top comments saying that both original and this version are sad but somehow differently. And after trying to hear it to myself I think the difference is that Ivan sounds really resigned while Mizi here sounds angry?

@@annseotan8049 definitely. She’s angry about it more than sad. Of course she’s sad but in this song it shows how her anger overshadowing her sorrow, unlike Ivan’s who sounds resigned bc unlike till with mizi, he’s accepted that he’s unreachable and will never be I love with him

Mizi's version definitely sounds like she's mourning someone. Like, regrets, sadness. IDK how to explain but the inflections in her voice. Meanwhile, the original sounds like he's thinking of the unknown future and experiencing the pain in the now.
