'Black Sails' Season 2 Interview: Zach McGowan and Jessica Parker Kennedy
Black Sails is back with its second season and the power struggle has shifted. Max (Jessica Parker Kennedy) has formed an uneasy alliance with Anne Bonney (Clara Paget) and Rackham (Toby Schmitz), one that includes one very steamy scene. The big threesome, however, is clearly about power, not sex. Vane (Zach McGowan) has control of the fort, but Flint (Toby Stephens) isn't having any of it. Partnerships are shifting and Eleanor (Hannah New) is losing control of Nassau.
I got a chance to visit the set of Black Sails in Cape Town, South Africa and chat with the cast. We saw fully built pirates ships, the entire pirate village in Nassau and and the interior of the fort. The cast told us that during the shoot, a South African cobra decided to watch a little filming in there as well.
During my video interview with Zach McGowan and Jessica Parker Kennedy we talked about the changes to their characters this season, their love for Eleanor and how physically difficult the show is to shoot. Over the next few weeks, we'll have additional exclusive video interviews with the cast of Black Sails, and even more when Season 3 begins in early 2016.

I still am trying to comprehend that Zach has a normal people's voice, that he isn't Gravelvoice McSorethroat all the time
I was amazed how different Zach's attitude and voice in real life than in his role. They are truly great actors.
this tv show is so freaking good. Why do I feel like there isnt enough attention on it. I just got to know about it few days ago, and I binge watched all 3 season. Dman its good.

Darkborne Lines yeah I totally agree, its super under-rated, so refreshing to have a series like this so well produced and with such acting talent across the board, really hope we get at least another couple of seasons out of it, theres still loads of story to tell. The hanging scene was surprising moving, one of my favourite characters so it was a shame to see their end come.

Glasgow2k6 i looked this up so i could hear his natural voice. very irritating the fake batman growl NO ONE TALKS LIKE THAT IN REAL LIFE UNLESS THEYVE HAD SOME KINDA CANCER SURGERY

Apparently he never told the producers he was American because they wanted someone British. He held that accent in every interaction he had until got the part.

Henry is gonna be great, he’s stepping out of his comfort zone. Admittedly Zach was my first choice but it’s very much Zach’s ballpark it’s what he’s known for, whereas Henry is playing outside of that and it makes me so much more excited!

GOT is way better IMO. I love both shows but GOT is on another level. When you have an entire novel to source from its tough to compete with. Huge props to this show that you would even say that though.

Johnny Quid I can't agree either. I watched the first season of Vikings because it was recommended to me by a friend. Ordered season 1 & 2 on Blu-Ray even. Fortunately the season 1 discs got here first, because after watching 2/3 of the season 1 episodes, I just couldn't stomach watching the rest. Immediately canceled my season 2 order and hid season 1 somewhere at the back of the shelf. Vikings, in my opinion, suffers from lame writing that almost never manages to create anything resembling suspense. Not to mention that the show portrays the vikings as some kind of super humans that can cut through armies of Angles and Saxons (who always seem to be quivering with fear at the prospect of facing our impetuous viking super soldiers) whilst barely taking any casualties in the process. Then there's the fact that half the cast either never seems to have taken an acting job before or just permanently seem like they'd rather be doing something else. The main character in particular apparently can only muster two types of facial expression: a creepy smile, or a dumbfounded look of utter confusion. I'm sorry, but this cheap junk approaches neither Black Sails nor GoT levels of quality.

mark13 Actually GOT used to be a great show but the season 5 is just fuc*in horrible, it's... if im in a good mood i'd call it shit, it don't follow the bookes in almost ANY regard. They kill characters still alive in the bookes they make alterations and alterations, Ramsay fucking sansa every day, the gladiator theme, so on. I can go on all night. And episode 10 of season 5 was nothing buit a fucking joke, Stannis dead, Myrcella dead. Jesus. And Before that Stannis killed his own daughter were they high when they made that shit. No my god the show Went from great to catastrophe.

Oliver Draathelvete Well said well said !! i m also fan of the books " Song of Ice and..." and i just cant stand this what they did with this tv show !! as if it not enough they want to end the show before the books !!! Fuck this is terrible idea ! i love this books and with the end of season 4 i was i'n a little shock where is Catelyn ?! oh well lets wait for S5 she will be there...yea she is my ass ! damn George u sell out yourself to much money for u, this is disaster and where are the winds of winter ?? how long we have to wait 2 - 3 years ? after the show is end with all the spoilers everywhere u give us the books ? it's not funny man not funny !! So the best tv show is Black Sails for me now !

they accents is totally diferent on the show , zach got that batman voice spot on and jessica got a very good french accent

This is an amazing show!!! BS is GoT true rival now BreakingBad is over.
Everyone attacking and worrying about Nassau, when the real floating dung amidst the waves was England itself. Hundreds of years later and we're still waiting for it to sink.

his own voice is good, but on the serie's he sounds like he's having problems with breathing through his nose... I have to laugh every time he speaks. He looks so tough but when he opens his mouth.... hahaha I'm off!!!!

Popularity wise, Game of Thrones is the king. However, I couldn't get into the show. This doesn't mean that I think it sucks. There are so many great series on television currently, there is fare which suites every taste. Black Sails intrigued me in season one. By the end of season three, I considered it to be one of the best shows on television.
