Very underrated though, but yes, the vocals really jump out at the listener on this album..........he has more resemblance to Dio than Ozzy.
Tony Martin was the best singer for black sabbath ..AWESOME.

Tony martin delivered on the headless cross album the best vocals ever on a black sabbath album, he was the best vocalist for the band, sorry Ronnie James dio you're the second, his vocals are phenomenal and sensational what makes his performance a true piece of art, thank you very much Mr tony martin, thanks for sharing

The original formation is the Best version. Black Sabbath is Ozzy, Iommi, Butler, Ward. If Ozzy don't have problems with drugs and alcohol, the other formations will never exist. I think that the fans of Tony Martin are too youngs. And don't know the complete discography of Sabbath. After the say Tony Martin is better that Ozzy and Dio, than easy, is no respect the esencia of Sabbath. They must ear a lot of albums after. Tony Martin is a very good sincero in the studio. You are talking the Two of the Best frontmen of the history of the Music

@@pabloyacomini326 I am 57 years old and i know all the albums of black sabbath, i fall in love with black sabbath after hearing volume 4 album with ozzy, i have a lot of respect to the late dio and certainly to ozzy, but in terms of singing tony martin is much better, he is the only vocalist who sang live songs of all the other vocalists of the band minus ian gillan, that pretty much says it all.

@@RobertWeingher Is a Excellent singer, but something fault. Not Is for my opinión that Tony Martin dont reach the recognition or a more famous career. Vocal technique Is brillant. Is not original, some tones aré similar to Dio. Have high notes More powerfull that Dio. Is for that what Tony choose him. But no have charisma, escenary, iif you really have this Will have More recognition. The career of Dio Is tremendous, and evolution since the Rainbow, Sabbath, and Dio's Band. I love too much Ronnie, and he sing until the end, with the cáncer inside. Allways professional, honorable, and give you all for the people. For me Dio, Gillan, Plant, Halford, Dickinson, Geoff Tate, Jef Scot Soto, and the único e irrepetible Ozzy. This singers aré my preferred. And Tony Martin dont provoque in me that level of admiration. Over there Is my fault, promess ear the albums with Tony Martin with More attention and afection. Long live to the good músic. Low key my favourite Sabbath track on this album, I love how "light" it sounds but still possesses the sinister Sabbath tone, Martin was such a magnificent singer at his peak that he could've been singing about anything and it would've worked tbh.

By far my favorite track on this album. These records with Tony Martin were so underrated. I'm glad to see the box set of these being remastered and finally giving this lineup the recognition it so richly deserves

But bass on the album was played by Laurence Cottle, while Murray played only live, before joining BS also in studio for Tyr (btw, I prefer Cottle, even if he's mostly a session musician). I prefer Murray on Whitesnake

@@kristapskalinka2602 better than Bruce. Better than Rob. Don't get me wrong. I love them both but Tony has the same power but more emotion and expression. I left one name out on purpose. Although Tony Martin did an amazing job of sounding like Ronnie, no one will EVER sound like him with the truest power.

@@norrisball5738 Ozzy was the first and important for the band's first decade......but the change to Dio put the band in a much more higher level .....musicwise, compositions, innovation, the Songs of the heaven & hell record are so strong.......evry Single tune stands for such a high quality ......and compared to Dio and Tony Martin Ozzy should called no longer a singer
