If you ever see a black man crying in public, I mean two tears down crying, he’s either the happiest he’s ever been or someone just created the next black panther movie villain.

A black man from Africa here, this is so true, never seen my dad so much as shed a tear, or say something was delicious. We are proud of that, but the downside is that, much of our emotions then manifest themselves in anger- which is, in my opinion, worse than crying in public.

@BlininBae Oh you don't mean a person with one parent from both races, you mean a black person born in a latin American country like people from Belize, The Dominican Republic, or any Latin American country. Correct? Now personally, I don't believe that would work. I mean the show is based around African Americans and their experience, to many white people we're all the same.

@BlininBae My goodness, the way I read your comment is the way I most likely sound to everyone when I mention mixed people. But just so we're clear you don't believe people with one non-black parent to be black right? Therefore I was right in a separate and justified situation, thanks.

Little did he know he was a black man crying meme himself 😂
Notice how the white guy was talking about his father crying in private(Kia sorento or bathroom) and Anthony Anderson meant that all crying is public.
so true! I literally cried last nyt!!!
Crying will make a person look weak. If you can't bear it walk out and cry under a tree, the only person who has permission to see you cry, is your missus, ie if you don't marry a horrible person.
Dre's crying is meme material because this is comedy and his crying is funny. Other black men who cry are going through pain and that's why I don't find it funny

It's called appropriate time and a place. Be an adult.
Black-ish has all the stars.
Machismo is a cultural thing with people of color from America to the Caribbean.
I love Dre's boss. He is unapologetically the worst.
‘Nope’!
And that's some of the weight that we put on the shoulders of our Black men. It's an emotion that EVERYONE has. Every race, every culture, every nationality...male and female. We all have that emotion. So why does a Black man look weak when he acts on that emotion? I would not view a man any less of a man if I were to see him cry. It's a shame that we do that to our Black Men😟
