Black Magic: Hand Crafting the Most Vicious Pool Cue Ever
Today on Studiotronics, we're making a pool cue from scratch. Jack's full splice cue is 62 inches of African Blackwood, Abalone, and carbon fiber.
This is, to date, the most challenging build I've attempted. Thanks to Jack for letting me take on his vision.

The patience required is amazing.
Everytime i see this thumbnail my heart flutters. I'm not a fan of fancy cues, but this thing is so beautiful.
This is by far the most beautiful cue I’ve ever seen. Great taste in my opinion. Incredible!!
Very impressive. The skill and attention to detail are really something to be proud of!
His patience and accuracy can plan for Mars landing, I believe 😊. Such a beautiful piece of art.
Holy crap! What a gorgeous cue! I can see Reyes, Strickland, Duell, Bustamonte’, J. Shaw and other Pro’s clambering for it. It’s beautiful!!
You Sir are a F... Samurai. A true master of your craft. Cue looks amazing and the video editing and sprinkle of humor is a work of art too.
Wow, art, science and technology , you are very gifted. it's a beautiful piece of art!
Probably my favorite cue I’ve ever seen but the amount of effort and time you put into it I already know I wouldn’t be able to afford one 😅 beautiful work
Love the Blade Runner reference.
Was super excited to see a new video from you . I realize the amount of time that goes into your work . I appreciate the fact that you take the time to film it for us to enjoy. What a beautiful cue .
Absolutely LOVE your craftsmanship!!!
Love watching your projects. Thanks for sharing.
Loved this video, I was sad when it ended because it was so educational and enjoyable to watch. Your technical knowledge and manufacturing skill is way beyond mine but that only adds to my appreciation. Your shop looks amazing, I can’t get over how much equipment you have and I like how you strive to always learn and improve. Spectacular cue. Thanks.
Awesome combination! Great looking cue and awesome craftsmanship!
Thank you so much for sharing the process of another masterpiece, simply gorgious!
Amazing craftsmanship. Excellent results as ever. So enjoyable to watch. Thanks for putting the videos out.
My most favorite one so far, probably the most beautiful cue I've ever seen! Georgous 😍
Amazing work!!! The all black look makes the abalone stand out. I absolutely LOVE it. Keep us the good work❤❤❤
Oh man!! Nailed it! 🤟🏻🎱 I’m a Captain on the Upper Mississippi River. We’re currently pushing some barges up North between Illinois and Missouri in a snow storm in the dark. 💨 ❄️ I have a steersman so I mostly just “correct” him from the couch. 😜 When I seen this new video pop up I had to watch it. Thanks for another trip through the shop to get me off this boat for 21 minutes of awesomeness. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸❤ I wanna see the kayak video now. 🤷🏼♂️
Wow,.. it is for sure one of a kind,.. it would be so nice to play with a cue like that ,... thanks so much for sharing it's amazing

Mad skill man. Impressed every time I watch you make a cue.
The master at work! You are not only a cue maker, you are THE cue maker!
Mind blowing! Great job! 👏
Great work! Love the videos. Thanks.
You are an artist my friend. Beautiful!!!
This is better than most things on television. I would love to see bamboo incorporated into a cue.

it is nice to see too.. but its not a durable material for a long term use

@@user-qt7dy6wy4f really? I have some fly rods that would prove otherwise. I think you have to impregnate the bamboo with resin.

@@cheemomugdoo799without trying to be rude or anything…there’s a difference in stress levels. Fly rods bend back and forth, cues get slammed on end into a 6-ounce phenolic ball. Bamboo inlays would probably work, but as far as an entire butt or shaft made of bamboo, I don’t know.

@@SergioPena20 no offense taken, and I agree with you. My idea was just a bamboo inlay of sorts, not a complete section of bamboo.

@@cheemomugdoo799 I think it would work, but like any other design, everything depends on the size of it and how good you can glue it together.
Missed your art work brother! But this, this is insane! Keep up the good work. Beautiful cue 😍
It's gorgeous in its simplicity... Masterpiece... It may only dreamin' about it... No words...
Stunning workmanship 👍
Outstanding, tons of patience. ❤
Waaaayyyyy beyond perfect craftmanship,, what a gift
marvelous work! Great that you tried to do your own Abalone veneers!
That cue is so beautiful. I want one!!!
brilliant video, prob your best yet. the world's a little bit better of a place with another full spliced cue in it and great info on the carbon fibre shaft. Ive been thinking about them lately.

wow it's beautiful.. black is beautiful
You are amazing you do something crazy well done keep going bro
That cue is otherworldly.
That cue is awesome.
Beautiful wood
Really beautiful cue! Congratulations! Those abalone shells and black wood combo is just great. The shaft finish is more like a Revo you would say? I'm really wondering how much a cue like this would cost? 3 or 4k maybe?
You know it’s a good day when this guy posts
What a beautiful cue that is , really nice one of the best looking Cues I‘ve Seen in my life. What will cost this Kind of Cues?
This is the video I was looking for.. I'm sitting on a Larry Vigas that I'm very proud to own. I have a 3d thought for a window cue that I'd love to own too. Every starburst offers a different view and a new break.. If you are up for it.. I'd be honored
MAGNIFICENT just MAGNIFICENT !!!!!
Beautiful cue
black beauty,, i think i could never afford your cue, but always nice to see you made one 😀👍👍👍
i enjoy watching your cue making videos, for the CNC program you coded for the abalone shell inlay, did you do a dry run first or go direct?
This is amazing
Gorgeous and stunning, how much would you charge to make another one either with the abalone or with dark purple?
Talk about mad skills….WOW 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Great vid displaying your skill! I can really appreciate the lack of verbal commentary too 👍🏼
Awesome!!!
Beautiful cue! Wonder if the African Blackwood has a more firm hit or sounds more solid.
What was the final weight of the cue and which tip did you choose? Thanks for the amazing video. Master craftsmanship.
Beautifully and skillfully done. Bravo! What did this cost to build?
Nice man.
amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome. I'll take one.
What would you compare the hit of the cue to? The three best cues I've shot with are a '96 Southwest, a late 90s Scruggs, and a Helmstteter wood joint carom cue. The best hit was the Helmstteter; the feel was the Southwest; the best control was the Scruggs. This is the best way I can explain it.
Are absolute cues made by production, or are all the perfect ones always hand made? I've played thousands of games of pool, but I'm tied to oxygen 24/7 w/COPD, but I would be beside myself if I owned it! It would be handed down to my family! Just awestruck watching you work, and the patience you have, is a rare thing now a days! Looking forward to see more! "With ❤ and 🙏's. (Just for s and gs,"how much would you sell this cue for)?
This is a Work of Art, no less
You do incredible work! I have been building high end furniture for decades and your work is at the top of your field! I also have a challenging break cue for you to consider. I will E mail you Andrew
This. This is the one I’ve been waiting for. As black as my heart. As dark as my soul. Also, “will hurt, very badly, if hit with” hahahah!

Outstanding work as always man.
I prefer a 60" or 62" cue over the standard 58". The problem is if you want to take it on a plane a 60" cue will barely fit corner to corner in a 28" suitcase, which is the maximum size allowed on many flights. I use a 60" cue. It seems like a standard size cue with an extension is more convenient but I haven't tried playing with an extension either in the center or a butt extension. Shane Van Boening used a butt extension all the time for a long time so it must be okay.
Im a snooker player and can't stand pool cues, but this cue was something else and the work, skills and effort that went into making this is truly inspiring. Well done!
That’s a cue for a villain, beautiful work
