Black Liberation - 1967

Made with the direct participation of Malcolm X and narrated by Ossie Davis, this work of political cinema offers an intense, incendiary vision of black revolution across America. A forgotten masterpiece from radical filmmaker, theorist and founder of Cinéma Éngagé, Édouard de Laurot.
Suppressed in its initial release within the USA, the film went on to attain international recognition both as an artistic triumph and
as a work of authentic political acuity and power.
First Prize, Venice International Film Festival
Third World Film Festival, Paris:
Special Honours as the "First Authentic Underground Film from the USA"
First Prize, Black Film Festival, Chicago, USA
Awarded and honored around the world
from Africa to Australia, from Russia to Latin America.
Screened on the BBC, the CBC (Canada),
and other international television networks.

reelblack is one of my favorite channels. I'm getting a lot of information about my people than I would get from PBS or The History Channel. Keep doing what you're doing, reelblack.

I just want to say I LOVE this channel , I notice the time and effort put into creating / finding these clips & videos and I love that reelblack includes a background in the description also 😉🙂 Many ( if not all ) of these clips aren't being shown in schools and should be . Where do you find these jewels. I only thought my black consciousness was on point until discovering these once hidden but now unearthed gems this channel continually produces. Keep digging in our cultural crates so that these precious archives can be viewed and absorbed by us, also passed down to future scholars.

I can't understand like a Nonamercan the Situation between Blacks and Whites today and at all the times, both of of them fighting in WWI WWII in Vietnam, lost there Live and there Minds, we're the kollektiv Wish for a Live together in Peace and Economic Security. I believe that the Whites have until today no interesting for a strong, Education Black Community. My Son is in German Army and he is colored, and if they have to go together in the Shit, all are the same. By the Way....I told him from his first respiration,to be proud of his Skin and his Roots from Africa (Cameron),he is proudly a Colored German Soldier .
