I'm voting for Dr West because I hope it will push the democrats to do something substantial for black Americans. I couldn't care less for Hollidays or monuments. By 2053 black Americans will be wealthless. I'm not talking about income, I'm talking about wealth which is passed down from 1 generation to the next.

Highlander Folk School in Monteagle, Tennessee was where a lot of civil rights activity started in the 1930s. Appalachia has a lot of good history of civil rights and labor. TY for having Dr. West on.

I am a 67 year old Caucasian senior female and I am all about the West campaign. He speaks for us all peeps not just people of color. He will be good for ALL OF US. I just changed parties from being a life time democrat to the Green Party so I can vote for him.

The U.S. needs “a working class black politics”.

I learned more in this interview than any other I have heard. If you're for anyone but yourself, Dr. West is speaking as real as it gets.

One thing I’ve learned about a good jazz improv musician is that they make sure they leave a lot of space in their playing - to make sure everyone gets their own individual space in the song. Where did I learn that? From a bluegrass circle. Now, I’m more about jazz and blues in my musical approach, but I learned that from bluegrass players with a big respect for jazz improv.

What I heard was, stop mass incarceration, use the military billions going to the wars overseas at home to lift up the poor and working class, medicare for all, infrastructure, power to the people through Unions and worker co-ops and keep the movement going so the people get to express their wants and needs from the Politicians with the President using the bully pulpit to reinforce the demands of the people and encouraging the voice of the people (being a rebel rouser). Actually, I might have heard some of this on some of the other interviews he has had as well.

I could listen to him all day long.

Martin tried to change things, Malcom tried to change things, and I'll leave it there. Peace to the Elder Dr. West.

One of Dr. West best qualities is talking to either sides. He needs to do a whole tour in Trump country. I think he would be suprised how many people be could get. Those people are hurting and Trump was the only politician talking to them. Bring a positive voice to them.

I saw this podcast and the part about the youth being more involved with voting was heartfelt, the music plays a hugh role in our youth mental thoughts, and all these local groups having the ability to reach out to the youth but don't because everyone is looking for one person to do it was a greater example of how our communities are failing. Damn! I am so glad Colonel West is running. Even if he is not likely to win, his words are so good to have out there in this super crazy time.

Great question. No straight concrete answers. They were all uplifting and philosophical. He is in the pide piper stage. He has me on his side on the issues. I think his actionable policies will be highly controversial when he finally says them out loud. I heard of one and it scared the centrists and right enablers. I have faith brother west that our United power can move the needle.

There is good and bad in all of us. The point is which one dominates us. Hopefully, good is the choice. Keep living and striving for the best in you and others. 😊

Integrity. That's all I have to say. Cornel West has integrity. A decent human with extraordinary intellect, and sound political conclusions. Hard to be rational in an irrational world.
