Such masterly use of a limited palette and so unusual with its black pages. Your videos really do allow me to take a break from the present, thank you!

Beautiful book, Giovanni. Are the facsimiles always printed on glossy paper? I'm enjoying your videos but watching on a device the boxes that appear at random intervals throughout the flip through are not at all legible. I can actually barely tell there's supposed to be text in those coloured boxes. tfs though :(

Hi Mony, facsimiles are printed on many different kinds of paper, some even on real parchment or papyrus. Take care :)

You will have to view on a larger screen to read the boxes that pop up. Anything bigger than a phone, with decent resolution and you'll be able to read them just fine.

Hello Lorenzo, thanks for asking! This is a book of Hours, that means prayers. From Wikipedia: "The book of hours is a Christian devotional book popular in the Middle Ages. It is the most common type of surviving medieval illuminated manuscript. Like every manuscript, each manuscript book of hours is unique in one way or another, but most contain a similar collection of texts, prayers and psalms, often with appropriate decorations, for Christian devotion." The Black Hours is unique because of the parchment dyed in black ink.

@@lorenzonocera7149 It's written in Latin. It's hand-written, so you need to know a bit of ancient script to make sense through it. We sell this book, if you're interested contact me at giovanni@facsimilefinder.com
