Kpop is an industry rather than a genre ... Groups use various genee like pop, r&b ,hiphop ,ballad almost every genre ...kpop group are not confined to one genre .. every kpop group has there own style... Yes, i am also noticing that especially treasure is doing more of 90s ans 00s pop genre in the song lately...and treasure members also produce and write some of their songs... You may not be aware that you can actually turn subtitles on to get a full understanding of the lyrics. English and Korean is sometimes mixed to help with rhyming. Most K-pop music videos these days have subtitles for multiple languages. 10 years ago if you didn’t know Korean you would simply catch the vibe and enjoy the music anyway. The gentleman that opened the song is the lyricist for this track. Treasure is definitely my favorite group. There is k-pop, j-pop, c-pop etc . Great music is everywhere. In K-pop there is trainee system. Most start as teens and train in vocal, rap, and dance for an opportunity to be in a group.

treasure has 10 members (used to be 12 until 2 left the group) and their genre is edm pop and a mix of other things, this is a pre release single for their new album and its a 5 member unit until the whole group of 10 releases a full album at the end of july, one of the members junkyu (first guy with the car and the falsetto bridge) wrote and produced this track, i recommend their songs BOY (their debut song) , I LOVE YOU, JIKJIN, HELLO those are all chronological release order. With kpop the artists also go on music shows to promote and perform their songs so with every release there will be performances of the songs (usually the title tracks and one bside) so if you’re ever interested in seeing the live performances you can check them out

Thank you for reacting to our boys, TREASURE. Sharing with you too that the reason they are so great at adopting the hiphop, rnb, and pop techniques from western music is that the companies have invested a lot in making them learn and understand those different genres. Then these artists take years and years to train in singing, dancing, rapping, acting, variety show guestings before they can even debut. It is rare for you to see kpop groups debuting after a year or so. Speaking for TREASURE, until now they are still training the aforementioned stuff and learning other stuff like playing instruments, composing and producing their own songs. They are encouraged to explore any type of music they want to continuously evolve. Anyway, hope you react to other TREASURE mvs and live performances because they are even better live 😎🔥

yes they are all mix the language. so Kpop can be accepted by international fans. some of them (Girl Group/Boy Group) has a full english songs too like Blackpink for the example.

hello, i am a kpop fan since almost the beginning - around 2003-04... and i am a fan of boy/girlgroups like backstreet boys, westlife, spice girls. i am a 90s kid. bcoz i'm a fan of those groups, i got interested in kpop. i will share a link to you about history of kpop if i find one but, for now, let me share some info of what i know so far. this may be a long explanation so please bear with me. kpop is said to be born from the influences of mainly (1) jpop (japanese pop) in terms of visual imaging, fashion styling and stage performances, and (2) western pop and black music in terms of genres. pre-kpop, korean music used to more ballads, traditional/folk songs, and blues rock. it was in the 90s when a group called "seo taeji and the boys" popularized the hiphop and rap music in south korea. around the same time, a company called SM Entertainment was established that launched artists/groups in the kpop genre by combining the musical styling of the west and the visual presentation and training system of japanese entertainment companies. most of OG kpop songs were in full korean lyrics. since seo taeji and the boys was highly influenced by hiphop and rap, they also put some english lyrics in their. also, when some kpop artists/groups started to be popular outside of korea and branching out to other parts of asia, especially southeast asia, having english words in the lyrics or having english titles for their songs have become normalized. one of the comments here said that kpop is more of an industry rather than a genre. for me it is still a genre, especiall the og kpop songs bcoz kpop back in the days were so distinct, you can really distinguish it apart from the boy/girl group or pop music in the west. but it's also true in many ways, especially nowadays, that it refers more to the industry. what makes kpop different is the training system, creation of public image, the music-making process, and the marketing. btw, thank you for reacting to treasure (t5). they are one of my favorite kpop groups. they are under the YG Entertainment company, one of the so-called Big 3 companies in kpop along with SM ent and JYP Ent. i am curious how you came upon them? was it recommended to you or did their music video just happen to come up on your social media? YGE is the kpop company that pioneered kpop music with more rap- and hiphop-driven sound. not surprising since the founder of this company is a member of seo taeji and the boys. it's the same company that formed BIGBANG, known to be the kings of kpop, led by the legendary g-dragon. BigBang is the group that is also known to be the first mainstream group with rapper members. they're also the first group to start writing and producing their own music. you are already in the 4th generation of kpop. treasure is considered a 4th gen group. bigbang belongs to 2nd gen. anyway, i hope you react to more kpop and more of treasure. i hope you can also react to the old kpop songs and that you will find it a thrilling journey of discovery and immersion as it is to me.

I myself definitely recommend checking out some of their other songs and other K-pop groups, there's all sorts of different genres and such out there!

i recommend you to see another YG artist : treasure, blackpink, winner,bigbang,ikon, akmu,somi, and baby monster (not debut yet but alr have big fanbase)

You can turn on the English subtitles on most KPOP videos. They do mix English and Korean. Some have songs in all English. MonstaX has albums all in English. A lot will collaborate with US rappers/singers. There is also CPOP (Chinese pop) and JPOP (Japanese pop). KPOP is the biggest making the moves. Do check out more KPOP!!! Lay Zhang from China is awesome! Check out "LIT" and "Honey" (all English). He is a member of the group EXO (KPOP), but cannot perform with them due to the China/South Korean relations being bad. 🤔..I hope you don’t assume Kpop is a 90s -00s US pop alike or anything like that just by listening to Treasure subunit. This subunit is kinda like a spin off to show the different side of Treasure by only 5 members out of 10 members. Treasure don’t have a fixed genre. I hope you dig into their songs more and you will understand. They don’t do like majority of Kpop groups that stick to 1 -2 genre for whole album. Let me give you some example of their songs here: -Jikjin (hip hop/ electronic dance) -MMM (hybrid Trap) -Orange ( 90s ballad) -Thank you ( pop rock/ J rock) -VolKno (hip hop/ Nu Metal) -Clap (Bossanova/ pop) -Darari original version (R&B) Start with these songs and you’ll see how versatile they are and that made them different from other Kpop idol groups. The members also participated in writing/ composing/ producing so I think this reflects each members different tastes in their works. Tho their coming album ( will be released on 28th this month) seems to be a bring back memories concept. I assumed from 3-4 samplers of their new songs which are very nostalgic but really good. This song (Move) will be in the up coming album too so it has the old generation vibe to fit the album concept. Treasure fans also seem to have wide range of interest in music and enjoy the versatility 😌✨
