At 6:45 yes, there is a water layer under the map at all times. I once loaded into velia and was glitch frozen upon loading in and the entire town failed to load. All I saw with the frozen camera was the bright blue water layer under where the ground would be if it loaded in. There was also once a time I was glitch smashed under the arena for kzarka and there was also a water layer underneath. Kzarka is also fully modeled! He has low poly legs and clawed feet. Both aren't animated and he swivels on his hips. I still have screenshots of this too. My guess for the water layer however could be 1 of 2 things, or both. 1, it's a failsafe to stop the player from endlessly falling into the void, a common developer failsafe. 2, it could be required by the game engine to have a grid of water layer follow the player at all times. These are just guesses however.

With the new Pegasus you can ride the air ship, if you jump from the mountain peek above bazaar farmland at sand grain bazaar. When the airship is approaching the mountain, you have a 3 meter window at your max range with the Pegasus right befor you lose altitude. That 3 meter space will allow you to land on the edge of the airship right befor it starts gaining altitude.

Seriously nobody mention Accross the Bog, background music from RISE OF NATIONS.. 😅 20 years of gaming throwback here..

8:00 contaminated area in Calpheon have it, and I bet is was related to it. Dryiads was close off too, and was speculation because they are naked, but truth is not so beautiful, and was open at some point.

Let's talk about the fact that half of Valencia is unused area.

basicly like every open world game, they plan tons of stuff but everything make to final cut - trow some monsters, finalize hit detection, add few details and new zone for sitting another 1000h done lol

ngl. this is why I love BDO. I remember i used to explore EVERY nook and cranny looking for chests. Those 1G bars and 5% xp scrolls OP. But seriously, aside from adventure logs or stats, it would be fun to search. for titles or unique recolors for skins, etc. But this is also why I liked Genshin. It's fun finding loot everywhere.

Ir reminds me of Guild Wars 2 exploring caves and cliffs, where you could get a a special boss after 20 minutes of doing puzzles and exploring 1 cave. Some would need you to be with 2 o 3 ppl kinda neat

This cave is super weird. It almost seems that it's not a cave at all. At 11:01 we see trees' reflection on the water. But those trees are actually those above the cave. My guess is that the roof isn't a "real" roof. That would mean that at some point in the story this actual hidden cave is just a massive new open air area that will unfold when they delete this artificial roof.

I've been playing BDO remotely from a server instead of having an HDD for 4+ years and whenever some one with a T7 or higher drives me around i sink underground like a submarine and i can dismount underground all the time if i am impatient ^^ There are sooooooo many more caves like these even under the ocean floor

This game has so much untapped potential for exploration, but there's just no real incentive to it. I want to hope they will actually realize it with Crimson Desert, but seeing how the development is progressing I'm not holding my breath for much.
