I just love the look May gives at the end. At the biggest festival in the world, she *knows* she killed it. She knows she's part of an amazing band with her friends, that the Glastonbury crowd went crazy for them, and taking in this moment, this beautiful moment, all at once. We are not wasting our pearls on you, you deserve them.

@@maghes I presume they are able to sell the viewing rights abroad. They are incentivised to be good value for money by the current government, which means they would restrict world wide viewership of the full coverage of Glastonbury
as I walked away from the front of the stage after the gig, I explicitly overheard at least 5 different groups of people all talking about how good this set was. Best act of the weekend

Tbh that's where all the fans of the band would be at that moment in time.
I just love the cut at 1:49 to the rest of the band just chilling at the side :)
08:30 dude Charlie is really giving it to those drums. It really seems like he's actually taking his anger out or something. Great performance oversll.
Genuinely the most talented group of musicians of this generation, close to tears each time i hear this

Tyler gesturing to have the sound engineer turn down the flute at 5:06 is amazing. I love to see how much they communicate with each other during a performance.
I had my own tragic story seeing this performance. I was locked out the festival after packing away everything to the car, they wouldn’t let me in despite my priority crew wristband :( this band saved my life. I had to run thought the entire festival to see the end of this beautiful performance. I got there for the beginning of this song and I stood there in awe tears rolling down my face. I’d missed one of my main acts to see 😪. After it ended I walked to the front of the stage and sat down and continued crying 🤣 a guy named Paul came over and comforted me for a bit, he was chill as fuck. Thanks Paul
8:30 the way he screams is so heartbreaking
Saw them at Bush Hall and Wide Awake. Bush Hall was one of the best nights of my life. They were cursed at WA, bleed from main stage, rubbish audience, Osees drummer soundchecking in their set, etc etc. I'm so glad they've performed such an amazing song to a crowd who are grateful for their music, they really deserve it.

Unselfish is a word that comes to mind with this band. Great music.
As sad as it is to see Isaac go (for mental health reasons, and I hope he finds happiness in wherever he goes), May completely killed it. This was beautiful

insane how much i love these people
Just amazing. Glad they got so much love at Glastonbury and got to perform there. Legends.
The last verse moved me to tears. There's something truly meaningful and special in that "you learnt to fly all by yourself". What a gem of a song
Been waiting for this all day, had a ticket for glasto but couldn’t go. Would have been a set I wanted to see.
I am so proud of them

May is a better singer, but I still prefer Isaac. It's just a different band now. No more post-punk and more chamber-pop. Which can be more or less your thing. For me it's less my thing, I liked the rough edges that Isaac brought to the sound. But this song is still great.

let's wait and see, perhaps Isaac was a big factor in song direction as well. Turbines/Pigs is the only new track I'd put in fair placement with Ants from Up There

The whole vibe is different. Before, all the songs were very introspective and more (post) punky. Now the songs sometimes feel less personal and more like stories, and they're more folky. What remains is the dynamic range and the textural pallet. I like it less, but I think it's just because it feels less coherent. It's like an anthology rather than a single narrative. Still, I'm excited for their future.

LYRICS I'll turn into a witch tonight How did you happen to find me, sir? Thought no one could see me now I didn't put my clothes on The bubble that you left then I think it's safer than the cold Not too late to go home now I'll chew the pill for you And I'm flying away but I think I saw some turbines Turning beneath me Don't waste your pearls on me Don't waste your pearls on me I'm only a pig I'm only a pig I'm only a pig I'm only a pig Slept beside the maggots and worms Chewed through the mess that we made Ploughed the ground, good for you Could grow some plants if you wanted to Broke the zip inside my stomach Blood dripping down onto the broom Off the broom and through the sky Mixеd with your tears seeped to the ground And I'm flying away but I think I saw some turbines Turning beneath me Don't waste your pearls on me Don't waste your pearls on me I'm only a pig, I'm only a pig I'm only a pig I'm only a pig I'm only a pig I'm only a pig I'm only a pig Without a broom or bubble You learnt to fly all by yourself You could see through the mess You chose to float above us
