I once had a fling with a wonderful Zulu guy in Midrand, and when I met his uncle, things took an unexpected turn. Upon hearing us speak in English, his uncle asked if I would survive "emakhaya" (in the rural areas), and my guy assured him I would because I enjoyed cleaning and cooking-cue the laughter. The truth was, I spoke English due to a language barrier, being Tswana. After watching a video recently, I was taken aback by how some Zulu men still expect women to give up their careers, submit to their husbands, and rely solely on them as providers. It's 2023, and times have indeed changed. I firmly believe that a woman working doesn't diminish her husband's role as the head of the household. Black love has evolved, and the dynamics within relationships now embrace equality and shared responsibilities. It's about supporting each other's ambitions and aspirations while navigating life together. The notion that a woman should solely focus on homemaking is becoming outdated, as couples today recognise the value of each partner's individual growth and fulfilment.

We are human with feelings so where do we apply those feelings if not with relationships. I was in a session with our CEO lately. Very successful gent who has a company that operates in 59 countries. We were interviewing for an area manager and his last question to us as the panel was "what does your gut feeling tell you about that candidate"

I have just left a guy I dated for 5 months because he just revealed to me that he wants me in a polygamous marriage. If that was communicated early on, we would not have wasted each other's time.

No, I have to disagree with you, this nation does not need a softer gentler man, What for? You just need to look around carefully to realize we are at war. We need man who will affirm and guide...

I think we need softer men because many men where raised to be strong. Being told men don't cry. Which has lead to men being angry and not being able to express themselves. Leading to men some men expressing themselves in toxic and violent manner. That's why we have such high rate of GBV.

Love is not organic anymore❤ we need potions to strengthen what is naturally bound by what is real and true nothing can separate it. Its insecurities at play here.
