Those people that you say are just chatting are everyday people who have to live in the real world of being attacked and mistreated just for being black, so their opinions and commentary matter too.

It wasn't at all by popular demand it's a false narrative; these are not fucking conservatives..these are rich kids who have been indoctrinated by mommy and daddy..seriously if you want a real liberal vs conservative debate you can create one, not hard to filter out the rich folk who aren't really conservative simply greedy. Conservatives want to conserve the constitution and the values of the country; not simply just hold onto their money and be rich.

To be able to see REAL people with varying perspectives, diverse backgrounds come together and be able to peacefully talk things out and find common ground is so refreshing compared to the bullshit mainstream media pushes out everyday. That millions of people around the world can view these discussions and see that YES it is OK to have different views and we can still treat each other respectfully has such a big impact it can't be understated.

The two people are so aggressively condescending that everyone else's voices get small or non existent. The moderator should've enforced the rule of respectfully letting each person speak without dominating. Those two gave me so much anxiety, I wouldn't have been able to speak if I was on the panel. I can feel all the lost potential every time they get rude like that. This is otherwise an incredible debate. 💙 *That being said, having that kind of dominate personality is why they succeeded, those who don't have that can't override the same system.

Being black (and right leaning although I'm more a libertarian), the military (US Air Force) was the hands down GREATEST experience IN MY LIFE. I constantly try and get young men from my "hood" to just think about it. I don't push it, and I don't beat them over the head with it; I tell them, finish high school, and check a recruiter out, give it a shot maybe, it changed my life ten thousand times over, and if you're a young man and struggling, just walk down to a local recruiter. If you are rather intelligent, check out the Air Force. If you don't do well in tests or just feel like "yiu are smart enough" check out the army. Personally I will always say go Air Force, because unless you want to go to the desert, the AF will send you all over the world to amazing places, like German, Italy, and where I was for 5 years, Japan.

It’s a nice sentiment, but I prefer the party that doesn’t treat us like victims who need boots. We are all Americans born in one of the most privileged positions on Earth. Travel out of the US a bit, see what real oppression is like, ya’ll. Take responsibility for yourself. I was born into a poor single-parent household. We were homeless at times, we lived in apartments and trailers with no running water, and my mother did drugs. I had leukemia when I was a teen. Despite all that, I am more educated and make more money than my graphic designer husband who came from a middle class family in Mexico. No one wants to hear it’s a mindset because if you can’t blame other folks for your struggles then you have to face the fact that it really is up to you. That’s scary af if you’re weak, but it can also be empowering if you’re willing to work hard and never let yourself believe the system is against you. We’re Americans, the world is our oyster 🇺🇸🎉

I listen to all sides, but I looked more into the evolution of the modern conservative movement cause I wanted to understand how their worldview developed as it seemed that so many times I got into political discussions with them they would reject science and what the evidence/data was showing. I find it to be based on a few things like needing to filter everything through their ideological lens of 'rugged individualism'; and lack of trust in government. The modern conservative movement focused a lot on dismantling trust in government so they can dismantle it so capitalists have more freedom to operate their businesses and not have to pay into a larger 'common good' through taxes. Now they don't even trust expertise in general unless it is filtered through the right wing ecosystem. That's what we saw with Covid and so much opposition to Dr. Fauchi. A healthy skepticism is fine, but the right wing ecosystem exploited it to make it go overboard, and then the base will only seem to listen to the right wing fake-experts. The right wing ecosystem also focused heavily on doubling down on divisions and making sure their base really, really hated their pollitical opposition so they wouldn't respect or trust them at all.

Have you ever lied, lusted sexually at the opposite sex, disrespected parents, stolen, thought bad thoughts, hated someone, sinned sexually (fornication, Adultery …) etc All humans have sinned in thought, word or deed. Therefore, none of us are good and able to get into Heaven and will be justly judged and sent to eternity in Hell! But God out of His love sent his son Jesus (also God in Human flesh) to die on the cross for our sins and rise again from the dead (nobody can do that only God). Jesus said if you Repent of your sins and put your complete trust in Him for your salvation, you’ll have eternal life, given to you as a gift (this message is not to be ignored; seek God today). Your thoughts? John 14: 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The fact remains, she went from social welfare to a contributor because of the welfare system that kept her from going homeless. That's how the system should work, so I don't know why she's trashing the system that helped her get to where she is today. "I got mine so let me shut the door behind me," hypocrisy at it's finest.

Good on vice for showing both sides to an argument. This is what a healthy society is built on - civil discourse. What would be nice is to discuss politics as a whole instead of being racist and only letting one race put their opinion in.

I can agree with that statement, it is wild, and it makes you wonder what causes that to develop in a person, is it nature or nurture, can we mold one or another in our children, or is it determined at birth, they definitely both have their advantages and disadvantages, if you are an individualist, you may be so into helping yourself you lack empathy or the ability to help or care to help others, but you can take responsibility for yourself and will most likely be more successful, on the other hand if you are a collectivist, than you lack the ability for any individual thought, which is dangerous because you follow the group, even if its over a cliff, however you definitely have safety in numbers, existential for sure, food for thought.

@Kameron Baylor I never do that. Like never. But just seeing how the majority thinks and believes, seriously makes me disgusted of them. I have always been open to hearing everyone, but they're just a group with a very divisive mentality waiting to stir up trouble any chance they can get. To them everything is racist, bigoted, offensive, xenophobic, misogynistic, sexist, etc. You name it. Bunch of wackjobs. I rarely see terrible conservatives. Of course there are your bad apples, but I expect that from any group. I expect the left to have bad apples and I won't judge them for that, but when the majority of leftists have the same nazi like view? That's when there is a problem. I think what really made me disgusted by the left to the point of no return is just the amount of hypocrisy that spews out of their mouths. The easiest one Is how they call right wingers racist yet every other sentence that comes out of their mouths is about how bad white people are lol. Bunch of hypocrites. Or even their nazi like mentality. They just know how to race bait, gender bait, and form violent gangs. If you honestly think what I have said is wrong then I have no idea what to tell you. I'm a very fair person. If conservatives are bad I would say it, but don't go around trying to police me on what I'm doing is right or wrong. Go do your own research and see for yourself. I never ever put down anyone, unless they have seriously proved it to me that they have a very poisonous mentality.

This needs to be redone immediately with the same people. I wonder how their opinions have changed since then. Vice if you read this redo this right now.

@@FrenchysPlaysTV fundamentally sure but I'd like to see their discourse now that we're post-election. I think it would be interesting to hear their answers to questions pertaining to election results, if voter/election fraud was effecting black areas, what a Biden presidency might look like for black communities, etc.

The conservative in the blue blazer and the conservative with the gold in her hair talking to each other whilst others were talking, talking over others, not letting them expand on their points after a few words and trying to steer the whole conversation were rage worthy. I wanted to hear more from the older female liberal and the male conservative beside her.
