All captains are very OP 1. Dorothy She basically have spatial type of magic wherein she can just pop anywhere, plus she can transport anything to the dream world, and in there, she is unstoppable, her imagination is the limit, the longer you stay the drowsy you get…what i wanted to see from her, is whether she can do those magic in real world, imagine she can make anything, she’d be unstoppable 2. Yami Fighting style consist of using his katana, what makes him op would be his technique of using ki, it makes him able to predict movement, in addition his black hole can suck up almost all magic thrown at up..what i wanted to see is that, even though he had no katana, can he use his hand to act like a blade and perform those magic.. 3. Jack He is more of a late type of fighting style since his blade gets sharper the mode he slices thus longer fights makes him able to slice almost anything, what i wanted to see if he too can do the dimension slash or a version like that since slashing is his style 4. Nozel He is good at offense and defense, precision is key for him..imagine he shot an mercury so thin an eye couldnt see, nor use those mercury to go underground or on walls then bind the enemy without expecting it..he can took advantage of his magic since he can thin them out so no one could suspect it, what if he uses them to poison his enemy like an assassin would though, what i wanted to see from him is whether he can try doing those assassination..like dude, you can thin out those magic and penetrate your enemy heart, since his magic can turn to solid, it’d be like a minuscule bullet entering the heart then poisoning the enemy without even noticing it..then he could just gently control those mercury out of the enemy mouth or exits so no one would tell its him 5. Fuego His op thanks to salamader, more like an aoe mage, he can take out a lot of enemy in just a shot. What i wanted to see from him would be wether he can is immune to fire, imagine if he is though then he can create a heat aura around him like a sun and anything or anyone who comes near will melt and burn, then he can stay focus on long range attack like fireball, and what if those fireball explodes? Then he could create a lot of them and explodes them all at once, so no enemy could escape the explosion 6. Vangeance His magic are world tree magic, which means only limited to trees, he can control their growth, roots, trunks, leaves, and even seeds, he also absorbs the energy/mana arounds them. His op ability would be the healing one, he can be an op support both with heal and defensive capabilities what i wanted to see from his is whether he can control all the aspects of the trees like turning some branches, roots or leaves into swords and can he control other trees like the normal ones 7. Rille He is op in such a way anything he drew will turn into a reality, though i wonder can he do that without his brush? Can he copy the affinities of others? Or the magic of others? He is like the guy version of dorothy wherein imagination is the only limit, he just need training so he could drew a lot in just a seconds, what i expected from him is whether he can control other drawings like arts made by others, can he resize them? Can he make others attack converted into a drawing? Can he drew something then store them for later use? Or only the current drawing are controllable? 8. Charlotte Some say she is weak, but actually she is just limiting her abilities, she can be stronger than vangeance since her magic can control plant, and vine like, she acts more like a support and a range one, imagine if she can fully control the curse she had before, i dont want to spoil but in the manga, she had a huge glow up in skills, it can surpass vangeance, but what i wanted to know about her abilities is whether she can control other flower like plants and uses their defense mechanism like thorns, poison, etc. imagine she can control thorns then use them as projectile for long ranger and creating a smoke clouds to conceal herself and poison others, imagine she can control a plant eater then make it huge, it would be op, also in the anime, she is seen to only use her whip like vine.

Yea considering she was playing with yami the entire time by having him fight himself and playing tricks with the doors, it took a full force dimension slash to break free which no other captain is powerful enough to match (and she was giggling as he did it so she clearly wasn’t trying. And if you think about it all that time she is sleeping she could be training in her own world to get stronger)

1. Yami and Mereoleona, Mereoleona is still undefeated. She litterally incinerates others’ magic, no matter the element. But YAMI is Yami, op with feats, technique and experience to back it up. He might tie up with Mereo now, but he’d surpass her soon. 2. Vangeance -wood is the most versatile in terms of defense and offense, plus he drains the magic of surroundings and others, plus his trees are not restricted on the ground, plus his elf buff. 3. Dorothy Her magic is OP, very few can put a fight. Good thing she’s not sadistic or evil. Her magic is like Domain Expansion, lol. All hit all kill. And add her elf buff. She’s a monster. 4. Fuego -i think he could be #3 too, but doesnt have the feats. Vangeance’s range and destructive power, plus versatility, are still better. He just had Salamander, but surely Mereo, William and Yami can handle him. 5. Rille an all elemental plus all all other styles, has the magical energy to back it up, plus elf buff. His paint magic is unfair and op. 6. Jack -his magic is lowkey OP, slow starter, but can be a bane to any magic. 7. Charlotte -Nozel just didnt have the power up, plus she had elf buff, and learned runes from heart kingdom, also any curse wont work on her. 8. Nozel -just overconfident royal but has achieved nothing on his own. Sent Asta and Patri to fight that Devil, and can only support Noelle to defeat Megiculla. -Yami and Jack can cut his perfect defense, Mereo and Fuego and Rille can melt his mercury, Vangeance will will just overwhelm him, Charlotte can outlast him. He is just a royal, for now. 9. Vector guy

Kaiser should not be underestimated. He doesn't the fire power that the other Captains have, but due to the fact that he is considered as the Kingdom's Ultimate Shield he technically has the best defense among the 9 Captains. During the finale moments of the Captains' Battle he was the MVP of his team as he used his vortex magic to suck the mercury and slash magic in order to create the gigantic tornado, not to mention that during all the fight he easily dissipated Fuegoleon and William's attacks. Also when he faced the ancient demon he managed to hold the demon back for a respectable time, I highly doubt most of the Captains would be able to replicate that feat with their respective defensive spells.

Nozelle’s brother is actually really powerful, his mercury can be both attack and defense magic

Despite being having average level of mana in all captain his still overpowered them in term of quality combat

Funny thing is Purple dude wasnt weak and even the other captains except Vengance and Yami didn't know that. He was actually the second strongest behind Yami. Yami knew that two but Vengance didn't know that he thought he was the strongest (really he thought he was the second strongest he knew Yami was stronger than him but he was smug because Yami barely had moves). Purple dude was a secret he didn't want to show his true power until he really needed to

This episodes proves that William, Fuegoleon and Nozel are powerful and badass and you can't convince me otherwise. And frankly, I think any of them could be the strongest captains too with just a bit of limit surpassing. Which William couldn't do because he actually had the job of protecting and healing his own squadmates, Yami's squad is much smaller, so there is less to protect and two of them were at heart kingdom instead of just one on top of that. But the manga does mention some devil fraxinus tree spell, so he would have had something to go up against devil magic, Zenon did at some point use 80% of magic during their fight - that much was alluded to by one of his minions - and unlike Dante he actually took his fight seriously, and honestly, he's built up as the larger threat. Fancy as magic ain't gonna help you if you do fuck all with it. Look at Augustus and his "light magic" compared to Patri and Lumiere. Dante might have had spatial magic but that in no way makes him a greater threat, given how pathetic he's been, so I'd say it wouldn't be an exaggeration or a lie to say William could have matched Yami... and hell, Yami's spell didn't even take out Dorothy, just her dream magic world and only temporarily it seems. So to me this episode doesn't prove that there is a strongest captain, just that most of them are roughly on equal footing even in terms of strength... as you would hope they were considering they were of the same rank, tasked with essentially the same roles in their squads and meant to protect their kingdom against pretty high-level threats. Otherwise Tabata would have left more questions than answers. Only person who stands out as weaker seems to be Kaiser.

Also the power levels are not quite clear becoz we didnt see dorothy to fight morris.... She was equal to yami at the time without asta help yani also struggling with devil lucifer..... I think they both are equal in this becoz they fight with same most powerful devil and go toe to toe with them survived struggled becoz their magic can only stop him for a while but cant kill him... I think they are equal..... Also u have seen dorothy escape from glamour world before yami s dimension slash clearly she is faster than his slash 😁😁😁😁😁

The grouping was unfair. Seriously, Team William are Royalty and Nobles. All have the highest magical levels, plus all are mostly mid to long range fighters: William, Fuego, Dorothy and Charlotte. Having Fuego, William and Dorothy was just too much. Team Yami has 2 close range fighters, iYami and Jack. There’s Nozel who’s offense has limited range, and defense has many holes. And a captain who specializes in defense but got hurt the most. Lol. But i know battles doesnt have to be favorable to any, and this showed Yami is on a different level. It’d take both Fuego and William who had to fight to kill to beat him, probably. Since theyre the strongest alongside Yami.

I think the wizard king set it up that way so that the kingdom could see just how powerful Yami really is, as I think the Julius wants Yami to become the next wizard king over William. And having him at a disadvantage would help show that
