Valerie Purves I retired a couple years ago. I noticed I still have 3 black blazers in my closet. I don’t wear them often, but they are all quite nice. White shirt, t-shirt or the camel top looks great. I should wear them more. Like you stated, I’m looking at mine with a new eye. Having a “Modern fresh way to style them” is appreciated.

At my age, 60, and size, 36E, wearing a good bra is non-negotiable, so I look for tank or vest style (strap covers the bra straps) rather than camisoles with thin, spaghetti-straps. Unfortunately, camis come in many more pretty styles than tanks. I’m still looking for a mulberry-silk tank dress, they are so versatile.

What type of blazer looks best on a short (5'-1") and short waisted person (like me). I have trouble finding one that fits well, and often the waist shaping is down around my hips, and therefore doesn't do up!

I am not a fan of black. It’s not really my style, it ages me - my feeling at least. Would you say that a blue blazer could replace a black one? I am in the process of buying a blazer and would like to make sure to pick the right color ! Thanks for your videos, they are really helpful.

I love navy much better than black too ! But I often chose a dark grey colour, which suits my skintone much better than a black. Maybe this could be an option for you 🌷🤗

Wow.... I’m sorry, but I come to watch fashion videos during these troubled times for a bit of uplifting escapism, *not* to be unexpectedly smacked in the face with the most vapid 1st “lady” we’ve ever had -“I don’t care, do you?” (words emblazoned on the back of the jacket Melania wore en route to a migrant child detention center). Actual class includes intelligence, compassion, and dignity, all of which Melania Trump appears to lack. Fashion should be aspirational and aspiration should focus on more than being a walking paper doll. While the US burns, riots, dies, and many lose their jobs, homes, and health insurance -largely due to a corrupt and incompetent administration- we don’t need reminders of what we’re going through when we click on a fashion video. We are in hell here right now; don’t you watch news?!
