Bizarre Military Artifact - Springfield, IL
The ILLINOIS STATE MILITARY MUSEUM displays what is surely one of the most bizarre artifacts of war: The prosthetic leg of Mexican General Santa Anna from the 1847 Battle of Cerro Gordo. Santa Anna, caught off guard by the Fourth Regiment of the Illinois Volunteer Infantry, was compelled to ride off without his artificial leg, which was captured by U.S. forces and is now exhibited along with the chicken dinner he was eating at the time. A must see!.
WILD TRAVELS is a television series celebrating the uniqueness of America in its unusual, eccentric, and downright quirky people, places and events.

Winner gets the chicken dinner.
We took it fair and square....
It's very sad that the only reason I know about this is from King of the Hill. Public schools are such a joke.
