My dad fell in love with boracay in the early 80s. My grandfather was stationed in Japan so dad was backpacking all over. He said boracay was paradise back then. Still beautiful but nothing compared to the beauty it was once. I hope they keep the other islands clean. Don't let visitors -foreigners or local- ruin the beauty of your islands.

it’s ruin now. it’s ruin not just from the tourist to many building side by side to many people living on it.. the government should never let them build to many resort in boracay it should have planning permission

That's their first time to go in boracay, sobrang nag enjoy sila sa water activities & buffet in hennan. At sa lahat ng experience papunta at pauwi dahil first time nila, maging ang pagsakay sa barko at airplane ay na enjoy din nila kahit iba na ang sitwasyon Ngaun dahil sa pandemic. 😅💗 It's also my second time to go there. Thank god unang punta ko February 2019, ay wala pang pandemic. 💗🙏 At babalik padin sa December 2022 after ng kasal ko. 💗 Yesss! Boracay padin dahil hindi nakakasawang balik balikan. 🥰 🏝️🏖️🌅 💗💗💗 Wow amazing place of boracay noon pa man. 🥰 Ang sarap mag reminisce balikan ang nakaraan ng boracay, kung paano nag simula ang lahat sa simpleng pamumuhay ng mga tao. 🧡Medyo Nakaka lungkot isipin dahil hindi na sya simpleng isla na may simpleng mga taong naninirahan sa isla ng boracay noon, Tahimik ang pamumuhay at payapa ang isla. tanging alon nang dagat lamang ang maririnig tuwing gabi. What i mean is Ngaun kasi sobrang dami nang establishments, ang makikita kanya kanyang Bar ang mga hotels, Night life. d n nagfefeature ang BND ng price, kasi nagbabago ang presyo every now and then. nasisisi ang BND ng local tourism at ng tourists pag d updated ung prices...

Hi Sir Drew, you should have checked the sand's condition along the middle of Station 2, where you can actually scoop up some sands and smell the bad sewer or used water from the beachfront bars/resto where it came from. The sands are already turning gray. I've written this sometime before, so the LGU can do something about it. I don't know what's the status now. Thanks

drew,boracay before was better and beautiful,we/ve been flying there since 1974,and I have been brining back-packers before out there,we land on the small run-way in katicland and take a tricycle and take a banka,for 5 pesos only, yah ! its been a long time.

thats the natural beauty of Boracay before since year 70's and 80" I prove it that when i I was a kid as 10 years old. my mother had a seminar in that place that was 1985 and she brought me there on that Island even my home is near for that Island because I'm Native Aklanon too.and Ican say that during our spended time there I saw a lot of corals near to the coastal area before you ride a pam boat going through the Caticlan. and the water looks like a Crystal clear and didn't see the Big hotel made in concrete just what i see is made of nepa or bamboo.and the Ati which is inhabitant there i saw them selling shells necklace and wrist shells but in this generation i Didn't notice where they now so sad.... they are the really owner of that paradise....

There's a pros & cons that goes with overcrowded beaches. It's natural beauty gets corrupted when there are so much people messing it up. In the other hand, the beach generates revenues for the City of Boracay and most of all jobs & business for the locals. The benefit of the island shows progress overtime from the old days. It made a huge difference. My only regret is the natural beauty diminished immensely. The only way to preserve it's beauty is to respect the island's need. Hopefully the leader that runs the island will look after it with tender loving care.
