Regarding the Credit Suisse document, doesn't C in C2C and C2B mean "consumer" (and not country)? As in consumer-to-business / C2B, consumer-to--consumer / C2C (Western Union etc) and business-to-business / B2B...?

It almost seems like XRP used Moneygram for a given period of time to trial its platform and iron out the kinks and then turned it over to Jeb to trial XLM to do the same.

ODL stands for On Demand Liquidity (aka XRP). So no they don't have to pre-fund or "own it" themselves. They can just use it as and when required "on demand" from a central pool. But the quantity of XRP that will be used for the massive utility they require will drive the price (supply and demand). We will be able, very soon, to contribute to that pool that provides this liquidity for these institutions and earn a return for doing so by using Ripple's AMM. We will see increased price of our XRP and a yield from it to boot! At least that's how I understand it. Am I correct Lewis?

That's a solid question. Based on my understanding no. However, they would need to "purchase" it on the open market if they don't hold it. So, given that in order to move a billion dollars you would need ~2% of the circulating supply of XRP (requiring many smaller transactions which have a burn rate) for XRP to work as designed a much higher price is more or less required. Consider that founders of Ripple have between them a few to several billion XRP, this figure of ~2% (not counting escrow) is conservative. Also, at some point someone will decide that it makes sense to use XRP as a store of value. All of these things are self-reinforcing virtuous cycles which will drive the price higher, unless/until it becomes a stable coin at a certainly VASTLY higher price in order to prevent rather large fluctuations in price. At least, that is all my understanding.

Lewis am I wrong here? How can the Banks in US be able to purchase XRP? 1. A sale to an institution is a security? 2.Banks will not buy on secondary then there is no partnership or agreement between parties (Only US).

Yes, it'll still cost Penny's to transact with XRP.... Once adopted in full scale, using XRP for Debt collateralization in defi activities and Large scale Cross border transactions would prompt institutions to buy and hold huge amounts of XRP thus driving up the price to insane levels

the network fees are tiny fractions of an xrp. even at $1000 per XRP, the burn would be cents, or fractions of a cent. just like the minimum xrp wallet balance can be changed on a vote, the network burn rate can also be changed on a vote.

I worked at the NSA in the 1960s, and the knowledge and technology they possessed was far beyond anything we know today. In fact, it is like comparing a caveman to an astronaut. Hey Lewis, please continue reading the information after XRP is mentioned. I saw the last paragraph you read, mentioned the problem if XRP was the one chosen. It said it “if such global current were to be heavily used, however, it could lead to monetary-policy spillover costs and efficiency losses associated with competing payment network” that seems like it’s saying XRP can’t be monopolized. The Japan Central Bank will be using XRP for in-country Bank to Bank transactions. So XRP is not only perceived for cross border payments.

I think that’s what the guy was getting at. NSA took parts of the patent to develop Bitcoin for the blockchain technology. BTC is a protocol for blockchain.

Great video Lewis...I've been following Ripple the company since 2018...actually a little before. And the build out of the blockchain rails around the world with over 300 banks, using xrapid ( later to become ODL) and developing partnerships with Money gram, Western Union, Fintech, and others and the evolvement of those relationships and others, and on and on. It's amazing to know the history of Ripple, in that the average person is just now starting to understand crypto, Bitcoin, a little bit. When you know what the build out is and the world connections the company of Ripple has, and for awhile now, you begin to feel a sense of success of being early to this brand new asset class as it emerges. Nobody talks about the elephant in the room. Lewis and a few YT's aren't a select few who know about XRP and how it will be used. If everything is as Lewis and others think, and maybe they're right but the elephant in the room is why is the price still pennies? You don't think all the people at the top, bankers, their family, friends, business assoc etc wouldn't have bought up all the coins by now? Insider knowledge would have spread and been bought all up already. Lewis, can you address. Not enough to say that the switch hasn't been flipped. Price should be way high by now. Leads to the question, what do they know that Leads to no one buying them all up years ago.

It's a fair point I've pondered as well. In 2016 due to a legal dispute, Jed McCaleb had to sell his XRP (9 billion). He was limited in 2018 to selling 1 billion per year and that increased in 2020 to up to 2 billion per year. That's a huge volume hitting the market after the SEC case. The price crashed, but a case could be made that it was mostly retail letting go, as it left exchanges, and fear took over the market. On 18th July 2022, Ripple announced McCaleb had emptied his tacostand wallet (the vast majority of his holdings). However Bitstamp shows significant sell volume every single Friday up until the end of September 2022, then from November the sell volume moved to every Monday right up until April 2023, then it stopped. Someone else appears to have been injecting XRP into the market to keep the price low from that point on. So WHO has been doing all the buying of 1) all that retail fear, 2) Jed McCaleb's 9 billion xrp and 3) the large seemingly systemic Friday/Monday sell volume? It's been bought in volume by someone, as the price has stayed relatively stable (as far as crypto is ever stable). Retail likely didn't jump back in en masse until the court decision spike and institutions couldn't buy without the XRP clarity. It seems a good case could be made that XRP has been changing hands all along, while there has been a long term effort to keep the price low right up until April 2023. So maybe we start to see the impact of those in the know from here on in.. If so, buckle up!

The sec case kept it from growing. Missing the 2021 bull run. All you can say is this process of pricing of XRP going up to $100s or even $1000s takes time. The CEO of ripple Brad Garlenhouse said. "Many people will sell XRP way too early". I'm going with Brads statement in my head and holding the line until it hits $1000 a coin.
