All those considerations. I don’t recall any of them being considered when my folks bought tack for our family horse when I was a kid. He didn’t seem to like his bit, it was hard to get him to take it. And we also didn’t feel it provided predictable communication and control.

That’s often the case. We’re lucky people didn’t get bucked off more often
