Your Premium Bissell Big Green Professional Carpet Cleaner is now less expensive than your mid tier carpet cleaner BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam Pet Carpet Cleaner, 3432 Is the cleaning power of Big Green higher than that of the 3432? or should it be dethroned and a new mid tier chosen?

Can you please tell me which cleaner actually extracts back up the liquid you put down? I am so frustrated with buying machines that leak after 6 months and none of which extract very well. I do also have the rainbow system and in my opinion it's gimmicky but does seem to do the best job out of all of them however it still does not extract not even half of what is put down. Id like to see a shampooer/carpet cleaner war!

Definitely got to get one of these, I’m honestly surprised it took the industry this long to come up with a domestic machine that utilizes steam to clean the carpet, considering the professional carpet cleaners use industrial steam cleaners, and they work better than ANY domestic machine

Not gonna lie, the steam is a bit of a gimmick, as professionals don’t use steam. What they actually use large quantities quite hot water (over 150 degrees) which creates the illusion of steam. No residential machine can actually match this, and the steam gimmick that Bissell created just acts as a new selling point. To achieve professional results, you need to mimic what professionals do, pre-treatment and agitation, and use an extractor with lots of water and the power to suck it back out again.

@@AfterDark33Main reason you won’t ever see high temp, high volume residential carpet extractors is wattage limitations. Most commercial units need 20 amps for the heater, 20 amps for the suction motor. Simply not possible using only 15 amps.

@@AfterDark33 so the gum that was forever blended in my carpet finally came off after i used the steam preheat function then the regular cleaning mode. be it actual steam or not the same gum wouldnt budge with the older pro heat 2x bissell. thats hardly what i'd call a gimmick. now im sure you tested it rigorously to figure this out but i disagree.

@@mainsource8030 Steam kills germs, Bacteria and other nasty things and far far from a gimmick and very important with children that crawl on carpet and those that like to layout with a pillow on their floors. @@quantumfx2677 Steam won’t really kill germs reliably on soft porous surfaces like carpet, you would need to heat the carpet all the way through for a certain period of time at sanitizing temps. It’s easier chemically, some chlorine dioxide based sanitizers are rated for soft surfaces.

My mother in law decided to splurge on her new house (which is about 80% carpet) and get this to replace her ancient Bissell ProHeat. She let me borrow it to see how I liked it. I currently have the 2X Revolution Pet Pro and while I really liked the Hydrosteam, I didn’t see too much of a difference between them. And I felt the Hydrosteam was just more fiddly to use. I do like it though. And for the money it’s probably the best consumer grade carpet cleaner out there. But if you have 2X Revolution, it’s probably not worth the upgrade unless your carpet gets immensely dirty.

I might have to look more into this one. I have an older rug doctor I bought years ago and while it works pretty good, it's unwieldy and tends to leave a lot of water in the carpet. Plus the brush cover isn't removable unless you literally take the entire machine apart. So every few years of occasional scrubbing I gotta tear the whole thing apart to get stuck pet hair and carpet fibers that have gotten trapped in it.

Hello. I bought this model about a month ago and it works great. I found that by using the steam mode it does leave a bit of moisture in the carpet, however, I mitigated this by using the wand attachment and to my surprise, it picked up a substantial amount of water left behind by the steam mode, thus dramatically decreasing the drying time. In conclusion, its better to use the wand after the steam mode to pick up residual water and then go over the carpet with the vacuum in dry mode to produce the carpet vacuum lines for a clean finish. Just my opinion. Great video btw.

Can we get a review of Electrolux Ultimate800? I think reviewing some other brands other than the standard ones would be nice. I know the cheap amazon ones can be hit or miss, but review some of the other brands, not Shark, Dyson, Bissell, etc.

I recently bought one from Target, and I have to say I’m disappointed, the suction sucks on the Hydrosteam Pet. After running through normally with steam and dragging the machine around, you still have to use the hose attachment suck up the rest of the waterlogged carpet…the attachment literally looks like at 01:42 The machines you rent at stores are better, even my mothers old Bissell carpet cleaner doesn’t leave as much water behind. I don’t mind flooding the carpet, at least (carpet cleaner) clean up after yourself. Bissell HydroSteam Pet maybe going back to Target

Steaming water deploy is used commonly in Europe... I'm a bit confused here... I guess the good old Vaporella sold in Italy or the Kärcher are kind of illegal in the US?

Would this be better than the Tineco iCarpet or Carpet One machines? I saw a couple less than stellar reviews of the Tineco machines. Even in the good reviews, it took a lot of passes before the Tineco machines were able to pickup a stain. Maybe this is because they were using automatic dispenser options, and the machines simply didn’t drop enough water into the carpet? Or maybe it’s because the reviewers used the Tineco-branded detergent? Based on what I’ve seen, Tineco appears to be one of those health-conscious companies, and maybe their cleaning fluid doesn’t stack up to Bissell? (Of course, Tineco says that you cannot use any other brand of carpet cleaning solution.)

I have the 2x revolution and three dogs. It’s not a great machine. There are two main problems. First, it sucks up such little water. The carpet is left very wet. If you apply downward force on the end of the head, it pulls up three times the water. Second, the spray nozzles in the head get packed with dirt. I have to pull the cover and blast the manifold with compressed air to clean them out. Very annoying to have to do this either before or after each use.

I agree with this. I push the 2X ProHeat cleaner away with my foot to get it to take up water. The carpet is always so wet after cleaning, I worry about mold. Saw this but I've been wondering about the Hoover with heat dry mode.

Fyi, I've found that if I spray shout on old carpet stains and let it soak in for 10-15 minutes and then use the carpet cleaner that I am able to remove almost anything. Very surprised how good this combo works
