    I have a Bissell Crosswave & having long hair along with 2 long haired dogs, found there was a vast difference between using the standard supplied roller brush & purchasing the “pet hair” roller brush. My house looked absolutely spotless & I didn’t have to stand @ the sink trying to remove dog hair or my hair from the standard “blue/red” brush, prior to washing.

    I have the pet pro and I love it. It really does a great job at picking up the mess and doesnt streak or leave anything behind. Saves me a ton of time and hassle and dries really fast. I think either one you end up with is a great investment.I love the cleaning tray and my brush roll comes out clean every time, never has anything left stuck to it. Which is surprising considering my kids always track in a ton of stickers from the lawn after playing outside. It does a great job at picking up the dog and cat hair and it does infact not tangle up around the roll. Though I do tend to find my own hair wrapped up around the roll and have to pull it off when I take the roll out after cleaning.

    Thanks again, for a great Video! What I really like and appreciate is your bottom view! You should include this type of view much more often also for the dedicated vacuums floor nozzle as it shows perfectly how it picks up the debris etc.!

    i have two crosswaves. One is used as a replacement while the other one is in the repairs. I know they are not made for professional use, but i happen to find them really good when dealing with multiple dogs in the house (9-15), since i run a private dog hotel. Bought them new and though they help a lot in my daily chores, they are fragile machines. Spray nozzles get clogged, humidity sensor goes wild and prevents from running longer than 5 seconds, wheels get jamed with hair so it becomes harder to push the thing. Bearings get jamed with hair which in the end burns the motor, led lights are the first thing to go out. As i mentioned, it's not normal, regular use these devices are made for.

    @@Selsmittenxo i have 4 regular crosswaves already. 3 are broken down and past warranty. Bought them used with existing warranty. The reliability record doesn't inspire me to invest more in these. Though they work great, but are designed to fail. Seeing many great reviews, i agree they can work well for light use. And the pet version comes the same as regular one, only with better brush which i can buy for regular units as well and upgraded bin.

    I recently ordered a Crosswave, but it hasn't arrived yet. I have a Siberian Husky that sheds a lot, but once I found out that the pet hair brush rolls will fit in the regular Crosswave and that the strainer and brush rolls can be bought separately I decided that the extra $100 plus for the pet version just wasn't worth it. I did order the area rug brush though. I found the Crosswave when I was looking for a regular vacuum to replace my old one. My floors can get dirty quite easily with all of the dirt and mud that can get tracked in on the wheels of my wheelchair and handcycle, my daughter's a toddler so there are a lot of spills and my husky sheds and leaves muddy paw prints all over. From the reviews I've seen so far I have no doubt that the Crosswave will be up to the challenge!

  • @krankenheim13

    Yea - the regular brush roll does better for vacuuming Cheerios and picking up pet hair. Look at the footage for both - the pet hair roll ( 1:57 ) crunches up the cereal and gets stuck between the roller and the housing. Look to the left of the brush as it passes over the Cheerio and you'll see it collecting, the pile getting bigger. This may very well be sucked up as you move the vacuum back and forth a few times. The regular brush roll does a better job ( 2:06) as it does not create more mess. When you watch the pet hair comparisons you'll see the same thing. As the pet hair roll moves over the floor, small bits of hair get torn apart *yuck!!* ( 2:21 ) and, once again, unnecessary mess gathers between the brush roller and the housing, thus creating more mess. With the regular roll ( 2:35 ) you see a little of the same thing, except there isn't as much torn apart hair behind the roller. Even with the other dry cereal and coffee, the pet brush seems to crush whatever it's picking up far more than the regular roll. IMO, the regular roll is the clear winner for dry items. They seem to perform almost identically wet. I think the pet brush is a little more streaky on the first two passes. Personally, I would use the original roller.

  • @TheJanicetunes

    @TheJanicetunes

    Well you cant go by this demo imo because they tried a roller that's supposed to go in a different machine. It might work better if it was in the machine it's supposed to be in. If they tested the 2 machines that wud hav been a better comparison. It's fine that u can swap rollers but there r some folks saying the pet roller wont even spin in their reg crosswave

    As Vacuum Wars stated it’s mainly “cosmetic upgrade” “. IMHO, save yr money & buy the earlier version & then pet roller brush separately. This will also give you extra cash to buy the Bissell pet “multi-surface cleaning solution”. Dilute solution as required (according to whether you’re cleaning a large or small area).

The cordless max model is supposed to get closer to the edges but I have the corded pet model and find that for the edges I still need a mop but my edges don’t get too dirty so I do edges only once every 2-3 weeks or monthly. It’s still a great machine I love it.
