I just keep adding water to until It’s full

It's not enough for the amount of debris and pet hair that build up on the inside. The self cleaning only creates mud. Am I making sense?

having the same issue with mine. big pile of muddy hair clogging the neck of the vacuum, impossible to clean effectively

Yes that makes sense. The self clean is great after small jobs but it’s always best to clean everything by hand as well. I agree with what you’re saying!

I always make sure that I have enough cleaning solution left in the tank to run it through the machine on the docking station (no need to pour it into the tray). Then use the clean water rinse. Works for me.

And it staaaanks. Gnarly bad stinky stanks LOL xD. I mean, it's doable. I guess you have to get a hang of cleaning it often enough. Like dishes. Always best to wash as soon as you're done using it, set to dry and you can put everything where it belongs.

I hate mine brushes dont spin half the time. Once they get wet they expand to much and only center cleans, leaving streaks.

This is incorrect. You hold the area rug/clean out cycle for 3 seconds and it automatically starts. No need to pull the handle back. The clean out mode last for 40 seconds

You must have a different model. Mine requires you to recline the handle and do it manually. It’s even in the instruction manual for my model. It’s nice to know there’s other models out there that can run without tilting/reclining handle but that’s not the case for this model I have.

@@MyProjectWeekend Our old one was like yours in the video, however the new one we just bought has an auto clean function that rinses using the water tank and you add detergent into the side cup. Same model as the old one just a new feature I guess.
