No , he did not. He lost that one, got a chance to take his revenge and got knocked out cold. Back then, Alex has much less fights than Adesanya and was not a dominant champion. Alex them moved to mma and knocked out Adesanya for the second time. Alex had less than 10 fights in mma while Izzy has more than 20. Izzy got one victory over Alex, but is scared to death tp take another fight as he knows Alex is much more experienced.

Anyone who saw the two fights saw that Alex won both, they are there on KZread, just watch, the number of significant blows is ridiculously higher on Alex's part. Furthermore, in Kickboxing, one of the scoring criteria is variation of blows, Vakhitov was boxing against Alex, covering himself with giant gloves when Alex attacked and counterattacking at close range with punches. This won't work in MMA.

We know this is a totally different conversation with 4oz gloves. By the time this guy makes it to the UFC Alex will have a statue at the UFC headquarters standing over Jon Jones or Tom Aspinall’s unconscious body.

A heavy majority saw Vak winning 77 including myself and the Glory president but it was close enough no robbery fair play to alex. it was corrected at 78 though. Artem is more dangerous given his age being significantly younger than Alex. that's 100% going to catch up to alex hence his activity. Those are his words, not mine. if artem were to fight alex, it wouldn't be until alex is pushing 40 and there's just no way. artem is is one of the most technical strikers on the planet. alex's gift is adaptability and outright gifted at his areas of speciality. but artem imo translates much better. which seems wild given alex's success but if we're honest, hill came off a long injury, and jiri was short notice and he'd already beaten him. great wins, but he's also split with jan and been shadow realmed . i'm all for celebrating active fighters BUT if we're having a conversation about invincibility, alex has this habit of making ppl think he's untouchable. and idk why. he's dangerous, no doubt. but what... are we going to say he's a different fighter since he fought Jan? stop haha. i don't think it would be an easy night's work and if he got the shot too soon, alex likely would floor him. but if he can wait him out, I do think he stands a good chance against alex. before ppl lose their sht over this in the coming months.. i challenge sit and watch the ENTIRETY of BOTH fights. they are free on youtube. Now honestly I think these fights are extremely interesting. I knew when Pereira fought Izzy for the first time that he would be Izzy's hardest opponent, because they both are high level Kickboxers. Even when Izzy caught Alex at the end of round 1 I was thinking like "this guy has so much experience, he will come out fresh and look that he doesnt do the same mistake again", like when he fought Izzy in Kickboxing and came back from the 10 count. If this guy fights Alex I'm definitely watching very closely 😂

A lot of you guys need to get off of pereiras D, vakhitov won the first fight, pereira won the second but the decisions were wrong. Due to vakhitov being a small light heavyweight I think he should start off at middleweight. Vakhitov is definitely more skilled than pereira, he just lacks the size and power that pereira is blessed with.

Nemesis? No, he definitely isn't. For me, the Russian also lost the 2nd fight, and against Poatan who, at the time, was physically a fighter more similar to an 84kg fighter than a 93kg one. Today Poatan is much stronger, a real 93kg, while the Russian maintains the same physical structure. Poatan is definitely a much more dangerous opponent today than he ever was for the Russian.
They are always trying to find someone to dethrone Alex Pereira, and in the end everyone is asleep, this guy has to go a long way to get to the title fight... until that happens Alex has already moved up to Heavyweight
As a fan of Alex, I hope to see another rivalry story like Alex and Adesanya's. If he proves to be a real threat to Alex and others, I will accompany him on his journey. Any possibility to make this sport more interesting is welcome.

Pereira is already 37. I think there’s a possibility of him changing divisions, or losing the title, or retiring than Vakhitov coming for his belt. It’s still an interesting scenario. I know it seems like a dream trilogy & that Pereira is on fire right now, but technically he’s already past his prime in MMA years.
