These phenomenal men have different angeles the meaningfulness of God, however, it does not take away or cancels others meaningfulness, but it ADDS more richness to demonstrate God's uniqueness. Colossians 3:15 states, "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." I am a COGIC Pastor. I have known for a long time that Bishop CH Mason and RC Lawson were friends and had Christian love for one another. Mason however believed in the historic Christian Doctrine of the Trinity and always declared Jesus was,is, and always will be God. Mason was a man of prayer and was mightly used of God in prophecy, healing, deliverance, and in apostolic dynamics. Doubtless, to us in the Church of God in Christ, Inc. Dad Mason was an "Apostle" and "a father in the Lord".

It is a shame that in this great day of evil; when the supreme court is passing Antichrist laws that the saints of God are here fighting about things we will never convince each other they are wrong. At least in the public arena, let those precious few of us who still believe in old-fashioned holiness praise God for Christ being preached!

Praise the Lord, I was taught at an early age and i teach it now that we do not argue with no one on the stance of HOLINESS. We are to just live it and show them how God requires the Church to look. I'm 21 and i dare not agree with alot of the things going on in the church Since When was PReaching HOLINESS wrong? THe Apostolic have lost the POWERHOLINESS OR HELL. I had a dream years ago in which I was going into a hotel and Bishop Bonner was coming out of the hotel. I thought to myself (in the dream) that is should ask Bishop Bonner what advice he would have for a young preacher...but then the spirit spoke to me and said I had what I needed and to continue into the hotel. I believe these men (older preachers) have done their Jobs and now its up to the younger generation to come together and establish one doctrine for the world. No more divisions.

Great observation my brother. Both of these Great men of God have a great impact on the Churches of Christ everywhere. I am so glad that I can embrace both. And this from a COGIC pastor who was baptized in Jesus Name in a Oneness church years ago. I do not think I am alone. Bishop C.H. Mason started the Church of God in Christ really in 1897 which was just a Holiness church with Trinitarian beliefs. In 1907 the Church of God in Christ became a Holiness/Pentecostal church because of the Azuza street revival still with Trinitarian beliefs. There was a lot of movements that was birth out of COGIC in the year of 1914 because of different doctrine standpoints. Apostolics and COGIC are very closely related only thing is different is their beliefs on water baptism.

We can all can come together by our Love for Jesus Christ and fellowship at the table where as ALL are welcomed! We have mutual experience with God and that is be admitted in the Kingdom and being an agent in the kingdom as well. Just know this that we are all on the same team through the eyes of those who are outside the Christian faith base. Others (Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists etc.) see us as Christians and they don't see denominations, doctrines etc. They see us as Disciples of Christ.

Like i have an aunt who's COGIC she left the apostolic church and went COGIC and now she tries her best to get me and my siblings to come to her church. Lawson" or "For The Defense Of The Gospel" and note that (in spite of their differences in doctrines) when the Masons came to NY the Lawsons would entertain them and their children would affectionately refer Bishop Mason as Daddy Mason and there was a reciprocal response when the Lawsons traveled to Memphis! I see why Pastor Bonner looked up Bishop Lawson. You can tell from the few videos I've heard. Bishop Lawson was a powerful preaching man of God. Between him and Pastor Bonner. God used these men to bring many souls to Jesus Christ. You tell Bishop Lawson knew the scriptures.

COOLJC means Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith.(Bishop Robert C. Lawson, Founder. The reason I was on the Page about Mason was I was sharing another Pentecostal Giant when I was attack by one(Cogic memember) claming That Mason & Lawson was not friends. And that Mason would never fellowship with a Oneness saint. This person got upset because I gave information about Mason later getting rebaptise in Jesus Name. Both was great men but History shows R.C Lawson did great work.

I'm going to put it this way, because I refuse to reply to anymore of these theological responses that many of you really need to go back and actually study and decipher. My former instructor here in Seminary put it this way in the Christian faith branch just like a family we have aunts and uncles etc that don't get along but they still love one another and stay together. I understand that there is but one Lord, and faith, however you have many apostolic churches teaching different doctrines. We need to come together and stand for one thing. If a person does not like something that one apostolic preaches says they go to another church that may see it differently. We never see where Paul, Peter, etc taught anything different from one another. If there were differences they prayed and fasted and came together to get one Doctrine for the World.

No one who is a sinner wants to live according to God's Holy Word. That's the job of the Holy Spirit to draw them and then He will do the cleaning and the sanctification in His own time. If you lay a bunch of standards on them like the pharisees did to people, of course they will reject it. The Holy Spirit in their lives will sanctify them and bring them into holiness of the heart and lifestyle. Not MAN. If they do it to keep up with man's stadards they were never truly changed.

When you baptize in the name of the Son you are following the words of St. Matthew 28:19. Jesus is the author and finisher of the faith. Therefore, I follow the Word if the one who purchased the church with his blood. The triune God is one God manifested in 3 persons they are one. Check out the Hebrew word Elohim. God is not slow if you baptize in Jesus name or the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost it is valid.

Bishop Lawson was only affiliated with the PAW; he was never at any time affiliated with COGIC, nor was Bishop Mason, the founder of COGIC, ever affiliated with the PAW. There was congeniality amongst Apostolic and COGIC ministers, yes, but they weren't a part of the others' organizations.

Sir that is untrue not ALL pentecostal churches came out of COGIC. All pentecostal churches came from the Azusa Street Movement lead William J Seymour in Los Angeles, California. Before Seymour there was a man who lead the Pentecostal Movement who was Seymour's mentor was Charles Parham who taught Pentecostalism and opened a small Bible school in Topeka Kansas. "Bishop Charles Harrison Mason never in his life was baptized in Jesus' name only." Do you have proof that he wasn't? If not, then you cannot say this definitively. And if he did, it's not like he would publicize it anyway, just like a lot of Trinitarian pastors these days that have "secretly" been baptized in Jesus' Name.

They constantly twist the scripture. They don't understand Acts 2:38. They don't understand that Peter was saying be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ-meaning in the AUTHORITY OF, that does not mean that this is what is to be said when one is baptized. Each member of the Trinity is God. The Father is God (John 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2). The Son is God (John 1:1, 14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20). The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16). The Apostles understood Genesis Chapter 1:26 says let US make man in our own image. One God three roles and functions.

Sir; first of all it is Church Of God In Christ, and the trinity notion is not false doctrine. The trinity notion has been in the history of Christianity before the notion of oneness. The trinity theology is stated in the Apostles Creed and Nicea Creed which are the pillars in the Christian Roman Catholic, Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Church. In addition, the trinity notion is Biblical it is shown throughout the Biblical text how can you not see it?

@prodlj Thats false, pentecost was not found on some false trinity doctrine, Give me Bible chapter & Verse - on that statement, the trinity doctrine was introduced around A.D 200 and was first endorsed by the Council of Nicea in A.D 325. the Athanasian Creed later made the trinity fundamental tenet, the doctrine kept company with the Roman Catholic's, not with pentecost, because the truth was first before the trinity lie

Bishop Mason was not baptized by no Bishop Hancock!

@Apostolicmanray-Bishop R.C Lawson is a real apostolic preacher & teacher, would you believe some one said Bishop Charles H Mason was Apostolic, to me thats funny, because he refused to be baptized in jesus name according to Mathew 28:19 using the formula of acts 2:38 at the azusa street revival and he taught the false trinity doctrine, whats Apostolic about that??

Do you have any documents to prove this sir or you happen to rely on the street committee? The life of Bishop Mason is documented and I have read it for myself. There is no where it says the Bishop Mason was Baptized in Jesus name. Bishop Mason came out of the Missionary Baptist Church (Mt. Sinai MBC). He got salvation, Baptized, and ordained Minister from this church. The Baptist church of course you know believe in the trinity baptism.

The scripture doesn't say a woman's hair is a covering, it says her hair is given her for a covering. Meaning man doesn't have long hair that needs to be covered because he is made in God's image. But the woman has long her, so she has the right to be covered. What Paul is saying if we read carefully is that the woman's hair is given her FOR a covering.

Prophet I'm lost by 2 of your comments. 1st you said the younger generation needs to come together & est 1 doctrine for the World. Bad theology! The doctrine of Christ is not for the World but for the Church/ Body of Christ. 2 We cant est anything that has already been est. Please read Eph 2:20. IN THE NAME (Singular) Whether Yeshua, Joshua, Jesus or what language a person has its in the NAME BUDDY! Here are other scriptures you can study for you learning. HAli Again Here is some help! COOLJC see God manifested as Father, Son, & Holy Ghost! The 3 fold Manifestion! When God manifested himself (incarnated) in Flesh as Son in redemption. It was God who who was redeeming or Reconciling the World to himself by Jesus who was Jehovah, manifested who was the FATHER. Lets go to your Language, Yeshua means Jehovah (Father) which has become our Saviour. JESUS held 2 offices FATHER & SON & was the Holy Ghost (which conceived him). Persons is non-biblical.

Obama, A pres. of the usa or is he The pres. if you say that he is A pres. there are more, but once you said pres. wearing pants, jewelry and make-up does have something to do with Holiness. If a person can see your panty lines and your makeup is a distraction, then this is a lack of modesty. Now, i dont believe pants will put a person in hell and I think this is where the divide is. For me its not heaven or hell issue as much as it is a modesty and separation issue.

The Apostles never taught that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three distinct co-equal persons. If they did, the councils of Nicea, Chalcedon, etc. would not have been needed. The doctrine of the Trinity was hammered out over several councils and diets. It never was the explicit teaching of the Apostles. And Lawson and Bonner were never, ever, ever affiliated with COGIC in any way whatsoever in any form at any time.

I don't know where you went to bible school, but I was told that you can't build a doctrine on one scripture. Why do we keep going back to the original text, when we preach from the New Test. Paul was sent for the Church.And not all women who covered their heads were prostiutes, read gen. 24:65, A women head covering was a sign of modesty, and authority. It's unimportant that men covered their heads then, under what ever dispensation God wanted to used. Let's be concern about this one.

Friends, please search the scriptures. There is no evidence of the disciples baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The reason being, they understood that JESUS was GOD manifest in flesh! ! TIMOTHY 3:16. In LUKE 24:44-49, JESUS opened their understanding to who HE was, and in vs. 47, it reads; and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached IN HIS NAME among all nations. This is true obedience to Matthews 28;19. This is how the disciples baptized, IN JESUS' NAME!
