He speaks about God but not believing in him. Because the words he is reading was for a righteous man. That will be lifted up through Gods graces. Also for someone who admits they’re wrong. So that’s all I have to say.

I’ve been at New Birth since I was 2 years old. I am now 17 and the Bishop and I were very close and not once did I ever feel like I was being used or sexually abused. This man is not what people said he was. I honestly do believe that something happened between the Bishop and the young men, but I don’t think it’s what they accused him of. Just think, multiple masculine men vs. one man... How could he get away with harming several young men at the same time? No man who is not liking the way they are being treated is just gonna allow it to happen for years. They’ll figure out a way to get revenge or even fight back in the meantime. I believe that he was being generous by gifting and showing them a luxurious lifestyle and when it had to stop, they got mad and scandalized his name. I’ll stand by my Bishop forever and I’ll always have love and respect for him. By the way, for those of you saying “he needs to repent”, how do you know he didn’t? You repent to God, not man. Stop trying to do God’s job (judge) and bring yourself closer to him!!

Unfortunately what you are describing is called grooming. He was favoring those young men and grooming them with gifts and when the time was right he did those young men dirty. It happens more than you think, often with people of "high authority" who is trusted and revered by not only the minor but the parents as well.

I can agree that there probably were some weird moments or whatever but everyone loves differently. His way could’ve simply been spoiling those that you love🤷🏾‍♂️
