Bishop C. M. Bailey Way Honorary Street Designation 4/2/24
On Tuesday, April 2nd, the City of Savannah designated a portion of Ogeechee Road in front of the Ogeechee Road United House of Prayer for All People, "Bishop C.M. Bailey Way."
The honorary designation was approved by City Council on February 22, 2024. The late Bishop C.M. Bailey passed away on Aug. 11, 2023. He was the fourth Bishop of the United House of Prayer for All People, which has established affordable housing in various communities around the nation, including Savannah, scholarship opportunities for youth and extracurricular activities like sports, musical bands, and choirs.
Bishop C.M. Bailey led the Ogeechee Road United House of Prayer for All People for 15 years.
The honorary street name designation is intended to recognize individuals who have made a significant contribution to the community. The designation does not interfere with the official name of the street.

Spiritual father. Just like Paul was in his day. Just like Moses was in his day. Abraham. He’s carrying the Christ . Paul did it. Didn’t he? Daddy translates to Christ . There’s power in the name of CHRIST. Christ = Dad = Christ. Our father in the gospel. I can give a lot of scripture. But God sent a man (Paul) to be the light and salvation to the gentiles) What made him special other Paul’s was the spirit he carried But listen to the words he is saying… biblical!!!!!

I assume they refer to their 'pastor' as daddy - I don't know much about UHOP, but imagine raising children in the youth ministry to call a man, daddy. A man that they probably have never met, nor will ever really meet and get to know him on a personal level - yet, he's daddy!

@ArtistMgmtATL he was once a Deacon, elevated to a Elder then Elevated again to an Apostle/Senior Minister and now a Bishop and our Spiritual Father in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

@ArtistMgmtATL Every organization has some type of structure in place. Their are hundreds of Elders and Pastors throughout the Kingdom that i dont know personally but we still address them as such. We don't know Joe Biden but we still address him as President Joe Biden so like I said it's all about respect at the end of the day
