Welcome to Mombasa, Kenya! In this video, I’m taking you into Marikiti Market, the biggest market in the city.
Mombasa lies on the coast of Kenya, along the Indian Ocean. It has been a popular hub for trade for centuries and is Kenya’s second-largest city and metro area. Mombasa is also known as Kenya’s street food capital, so it’s known for its incredible cuisine!

MARIKITI MARKET: At Marikiti Market, I started with some dates, fresh honey, and coffee beans from different vendors. We saw spices and produce, and eventually tried some watermelon slices.
AMOO HADI CAFE: At this local biryani hotspot, they made both mutton and chicken biryani. My guide Sam and I had their tender and mouthwatering mutton biryani, which contained an excellent masala, potatoes, and chilies!

@Davidsbeenhere I made jerk chicken wings for dinner using the hot & spicy Walkerswood jerk marinade, but I added vinegar, their scotch bonnet hot sauce, Badia Jerk seasoning, and a sweet heat pepper flake blend of scotch bonnets, ancho, and red bell pepper. I grilled them over charcoal, basting them in a blend of the marinade, hot sauce, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar. They were spicy, crispy, smoky, and juicy! Hopefully, I made you jealous like you make me when I watch your videos 🤣

Hey David. Love the flavor of briyani. Look at the massive pots. The seasonings/spiced look amazing. This market is amazing. Those bottled chilis 🌶️🙌🏼😋. The watermelon 🍉 looks like it’s melting in your mouth. I often wonder how you stay so lean. I find other countries diet is high in starch, carbs but more natural and more natural activity I guess. I like chicken or even vegetable briyani. I need more gravy and I’ll have a couple of garlic 🧄 naan 🫓 with that please 🤗😋😂 and thanks. I like Aloo Muteer with my naan. Did not know there was such a huge Indian /African blend. Appreciate all the flavors. Thanks for sharing and see you next video 🎥

Good morning David. Another good one in continuation from the last video. To anyone who wants to criticize the Indian-influenced food, remember it is cooked by Africans. The biryani looked scrumptious. I have eaten biryani at the mall and it's nothing like what I see here in the video. Another thing is that it is common and custom for people to eat from one platter called a communal dish, so don't criticize. May not be your thing, but shhh. BTW, David, did you grill the chicken using the spices you bought? 🤔. The tamarind and tamarind/ginger juices were a fitting end to the meal. The juice is very healthy and aids in digestion. So glad to see Tasos enjoying himself too. So where do we go from here? Wait and see!!! Be well David and God bless you. Love to Melina and Siena and respect to you and your family. Hope everything is well with all of you. Happy Friday and have a great weekend.🙏🤗❤🇹🇹🇨🇦

Islamic way of eating is that your use your right hand and to eat from your side and not the other person side. I think the Kenyan is not from Mombasa or even Muslim. When eating together on one plate is you eat from your side and not reach out in the middle in then other side.

You have the perfect headshape for a bald man, do NOT shave the beard. The beard gives you a masculine manly look. I used to watch your videos on regaine but I must be honest you look more handsome with the shaved head and beard, you look manly. Before you had some hair and beard was so short, you looked feminine, but when I see you now, I see a manly man, confidence and sex appeal.❤❤❤❤
