csswallet they buy wholesale bcoz they're a restaurant. So they get the ingredients and all for much cheaper as they buy in bulk. Less cost so more margin. Also bcoz its a restaurant and not just some stall, they can also charge higher so even more margin

Bhai profit margin 100% hu not 50%. Infact even if you take 422 add the making charge, and you sell it for 910, it's more than 100% dost!!

Bro i also spent one year in Sydney. Man you can sell many things here in Pakistan and make a good living. Bus jiska business set ho jae wo lahore ma hi badshah ban jata ha. Warna agar nokri hi krni ha waha bhi kuch nai bachta. Business chahe food ka ho ya kisi ka bhi bus chal jae tu kia hi baat ha. pakisytan am busienss chalna k zayada chances ha as compare to abroad

Azad bhai, I have done MS computer sciens and have worked in the field or IT in 5 different countries. I like cooking and my own business that is why I started a Biryani shop in Karachi. And Now its been more than 5 months now. Just want to explain that things are not as simple as you have mentioned here. First the cost of a good biryani of 1 KG is not 380 or 420 it is more. 1. Price fluctuate a lot in Pakistan. Recently price of 1 KG tomatoes was up to 300 Rs even in wholesale market. And with 1/2 KG chicken you can not provide 2 pieces of in 6 plates. You will need 1 chicken weight will be around 1.2-1.5 KG (meat weight) beause 1 KG chicken is small to make proper Biryani pieces. 2. Chicken prices also fluctuate between +- 5 - 60 Rs per kg every day. Ginger and Garlic prices have now increased 30% now. 3. Taste, smell and look are the main thing to retain customers and that requires more items than you have mentioned here. Like mint, coriander, green chillies, lemon, yogurt etc (water and dishwasher). Also Gass and oil prices are much more than you have mentioned. 200-250 ml oil is requied for 1 KG that costs 40-50 Rs as of today's price. 4. You have added cost of packaging but forogot to add plastic bag, transportation cost and in case of a shop, shop rent, electricity and salaries. This will increase Biryani cost per plate a lot more. 5. Cost of 1 KG good (taste, smell and look) biryani is between 650-680 as of today's price and this price does not include shop expanses at all.

HELLO I AM EDWIN FROM JAMMU. THANK YOU FOR GOOD IDEA AND SIMPLE PRESENTATION. I AM INTERESTED TO START.

Some other details and items which I forgot to add are brown onions and dried plums. Anyway main point here is cost is much higher then given in this video. As gov is not allowing cabins and thela on roads in most of the areas in Karachi therefore shop is the only choice. And shop rent in good areas is very high. Biryani business is mainly successful in areas where people like to eat outside or have to eat outside like office areas. Also most people (workers) only afford up to 60-80 Rs lunch. Consider this as well. I will not recommend residential areas where people cook at home. Shop in office areas are more successful. One more thing to consider is that if you are not spending money on marketing then depending on the area your business can take 2 months to 1 year to get enough customers to earn from then business. If you have 100 customers then you will be selling 15-20 plates this is because people do not eat same item on daily basis and on month ends most people can not afford Biryani.

excellent video and motivation for young generation....just one question.... the whole items weighed around 2500 to 2700 grams. So how did you make 6.5 portions of 590 grams each ????????????? Ok it included the weight of box as well....that would be 40 to 50 grams.....still cant work out though

Mai khud soch raha tha k kuch na kuch thela laga loon.
