I agree! I’m not the only American who prefers tea to coffee most of the time. I even sewed a tea bag caddy for my bag so I can bring proper tea to restaurants that serve only Lipton. I brew loose leaf tea at home.

I've said it before but it bears repeating: I'm not a cruise person but I watch Ben and David just because they're so much fun. So lovely to see a married couple still very much in love after 8 years (now, I caught this video a year later). So sweet! I can't believe those old photos of the 2 of you, you look like such BABIES. Upper 50s through upper 60s and sunny is a nice time to sit in the sun. Love it. It’s the people who get out in the super hot weather (90 and up) to sunbath or tourists who go to Disney World in the summer that baffle me. Nothing pleasant about that. I would have totally sat out on that deck though with a blanket and a book. Perfect.

You’ve probably heard that Australians are coffee snobs. It’s true ,absolutely true. It’s one of the things most cruise ships get wrong when cruising the South Pacific. A rubbish cappuccino equals a down the drainachino . It’s the one thing Carnival here got right. The other thing is the Australian love of seafood. We love it . We’d be quite happy to sit in front of a bowl of prawns or a lobster or a nice piece of fish . The cruise lines before covid all realised this about the Aussie cruiser . The other one is we start drinking alcohol early in the day but we stretch our drinking over a long period of time where Americans will start drinking later and drink heavily over a shorter period of time . I had this conversation on my last cruise on carnival with a crew member a few years ago.
