You guys radiate love... I'm crying. What a strong, selfless, kind woman you are. When you said "you're perfect!" the first time oh my God I started crying and I even wasn't expecting to cry watching this video. Your boy coming up to check on you and the baby, the sweetest thing ever. I can't even put in on words what I'm feeling. It's strange to share such a private moment with us, strangers online, I mean I don't even know how to thank you because I feel so blessed after this. This was... this IS a treasure. I love it (yeah I'm still crying lol)

Love how raw and real this was! Could relate so much it’s so nice to see such a real birth shedding light on what actually happens, the sounds from deep within whilst pushing, the shaking, talking like you’re drunk, it’s all relatable that we don’t realise until we’ve experienced it. I laughed and cried, it was wonderful. Congratulations, she’s lovely xx

RN in OB/L&D/NICU for decades here here too. I wanted to cover them with warm towels. And getting in a bath right after the birth (did the placenta deliver?) can lead to infection as the water goes into the vagina and open cervix.

There was a time in the 70s and early 80s that a lot of us had natural childbirth, I did. The only medication I had was Demerol, which was like taking a shot of whiskey. I was one of the early ones that gave birth in the labor room. I didn’t want to go into that scary delivery room!

Babies cannot regulate their body temp. And they lose the most heat from their body through the head - there's a reason in a hospital, a cap is put on baby quick-smart. Skin to skin contact (dry skin or almost immersed in very warm water) ....... with a hat, is SO imperative. If anyone watches and finds themselves in this situation .... please do the above and keep baby PINK and warm, not waxy and cold. Congrats Mum & Dad. I had 7 kiddos too - you are in for quite the ride! x

Michael is so calm and his voice is so soothing. He did an amazing job keeping you calm and letting you know everything was fine. There were a couple times you said “babe” and sounded like you were panicking and he simply said “it’s ok, it’s ok” and you calmed down immediately. The trust you have in him is so beautiful. You were just rambling on (I did that too after giving birth n ppl said I sounded drunk lol) and he’s just getting everything set up letting you chit chat lol the way he sat near the tub with you girls was so beautiful, absolutely beautiful moment. You went through so many different emotions ❤️ this video is absolutely beautiful “It’s a g-g-girl” you sound so cute when you were crying and rambling on

I'm always called glamorous by the midwives when I have to go hospital for delivery. I don't wear makeup I usually wear a hijab and when it's off they see long thick hair plus I have the naturally l9ng eyelashes so they all assume I wear makeup until they look closer and realise it's my natural skin eyes and hair. Some women have natural glow and some don't. It's also genetics as my mother is and was the same. Xx

Oh Mama my heart just soared watching this, please don’t be embarrassed you were so strong and so powerful, your Labour video took me straight back to giving birth. You are such a beautiful God filled family- the strength and peace that your husband radiated must have brought great comfort to you! I love that you were so in love with your baby and so thankful for them before you even knew the gender. If anyone ever doubted that you would love a boy as much as you love your baby girl, they would watch this video and forever be silenced. The love that you gave your baby before you even knew their gender was beautiful and shows what an amazing Mama you are! As did the joy in your sons faces as they saw their baby sister for the first time! You are truly blessed Mama! You are raising six amazing and godly young men - who have a wonderful example in their Daddy of godly manhood! And your beautiful baby girl will be the most cherished and protected little sister there has ever been - with the sweetest and strongest Mama to guide her into godly womanhood! Thank you for sharing this precious moment with us!

I also talk a lot after birth 😂 you’re just so incoherent for so long from the contractions and you start to feel kind of normal again and are ready to join society 😂 My 3rd child (daughter) came in 50 minutes from the time my water broke! Those labors are so intense, it’s hard to catch your breath! You did awesome! Congratulations on your healthy baby! Love that you’re calling her a him 😂😂

How is it possible to be this fast ? Do you have any clue ? I know it depends on many things and every woman is different but I’m due in august with my first child and I would love to have tips on making the labor shorter if it’s possible by any way I know I’ll never be like you or like the girl in the video but less than 24 could be fine haha

It's the surge of hormones & adrenaline that cause you to talk, shake, cry etc. Your body just GREW & DELIVERED A HUMAN! So many think they NEED medical intervention to deliver a baby but that's the farthest thing from the truth. A woman only needs medical attention during birth IF A MEDICAL NEED ARISES! Women have been giving birth at home unassisted since the beginning of time! Also, the baby instinctively knows what to do. If you lay the baby on mom's tummy it will instinctively scoot up to her breast & begin nursing without any intervention! The same way animals do....we do also! WHY would we think for one second that God gave other species such instinct & not us!?! I believe babies born in a cold, sterile, strange, loud environment (hospital) interferes with the natural process & what Mom, Dad & baby are SUPPOSED TO DO! The beeping noises, the abrupt, strange cold hands of someone grabbing YOUR baby isn't natural. The electronics hooked up to Mom & baby is interference. The bright lights, cold equipment, baby being juggled by 2/3 people doing the weight, the cleaning out of their mouth, scrubbing them with blankets/towels, stethoscope, thermometer etc just ALL OF IT IS SO UNNATURAL & ROBS A MOM, DAD, BABY & FAMILY OF THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFT. I believe all of that unnecessary, unnatural intervention has an affect on the baby. I'm no doctor or scientist but I did go to nursing school & I believe that all of those things affect the first fires of a baby's brain & emotions. HOW COULD IT NOT!?!

Your instant connection and constant empathy towards her is heartwarming. I used to never want children, but for some reason I’ve been day dreaming about wanting a large family when I’m older. I’m still very young, I’m 19. At the same time I wouldn’t mind starting in my mid twenties… through my early thirties. Roughly 23-32, but I’m sure time will tell… I want them maybe 2-3 years apart. Never want too much of a gap:) Anyways, what a beautiful family!

Watching how calm and in unison these two acted during a high stress time was mesmerizing. Not once did Michael ask what the sex of the baby was nor did you seem focused on it. This is for the negative Nancys that had something to say about why you didn't look right away. This video silenced any negativity and was so wholesome.

Yes! The chattering/shakiness is soooo relatable. I was so so shaky after my first, which was actually my longest labor (13 hours). That's the only birth that wasn't in a birth pool, though. I wonder if birthing in water kind of tames that shakiness.

Yay! I've been waiting forever to see this, so powerful and raw, thank you for sharing such an intimate and precious moment with us. Especially the birth of your very first daughter! I'm so excited for you and to watch her journey as she grows up with all her big brothers. I know what it's like waiting for that girl, I had two boys before I had my daughter and I was in shock! I love them all equally and they're all special in their own way but there's something about a little girl that is so precious. Congratulations on the birth, and you might I add, are a warrior! To do that all by yourself with no pain medicine or help, that is scary and amazing all rolled into one! You could tell you were in a little bit of shock with how your body and mind were responding, which is completely normal given the circumstances! Love it, thank you again for sharing this with all of us, it reminds me of my own four babies and their births. 💕

You're amazing!!! Your husband reminds me a lot of mine! My last babe came fast too, after 1.5 hours of labor, the midwife didn't make it so we had an unassisted birth and it was perfect! I also talk like this after birth, I shake and babble. haha. Seriously, so absolutely perfect! Congrats on your precious baby girl! Praise God!

This was so precious to watch! And I recognize the waiting. We had a boy after 3 girls (didn't find out before birth) and checking the gender was the last thing on my mind after the birth. I love how calm and composed Michael was. My husband was the same. He didn't need to touch me or talk to me, just be there and reassure me with his presence. Wishing you all the happiness with your beautiful family!!!
