My God!! For the first time I hear people making sense of exactly what I've been going through for so many years. With me it started with endometriosis where my period would last for 2 weeks then 5 days break and then another 2weeks of heavy bleeding which resulted in chronic anemia and hypothyroidism. Been to several doctors that always told me I was fine when I obviously wasn't then suddenly there was a solution - iud and OMG only if I knew what I was going to get myself into.... This video made me realise that I am not alone, thank you and I hope you all find an easier way to go thought this, personally the fact that I've listened to you was already a great help 💙

I had my IUD took out 2weeks ago and I’m feeling all the Mirena crash symptoms now. It’s the worst feeling ever. Some days I’m feeling ok, the next day I’m feeling my worst. Thank you for sharing your stories.

This was SO helpful. I had my iud removed in December after 7 years because I started having bad side affects. The first week after removal I felt amazing...& then the dreaded crash which is still kicking my ass 3 months later. Every day I want to start birth control again to rid these symptoms because they suuuccckkkkk. But know the wait will be worth it.

I resonate with you when you are tempted to go back on BC just to stop the side affects as I removed mine in October! Feel free to reach out to me on IG @amomentwithmal if you ever need someone to chat about this whole healing process or just need someone to listen. Wishing an insightful and powerful recovery for you and your vessel.

@@hinahina9224 I am almost 9 months in a definitely still experiencing side affects. I was almost 90% around the end of month 7 and had a set back. I am working closely with a naturopath to ensure I am taking the right supplements and herbs. I know I’m going to be enduring this for at least one year. Having said that my side affects are still super annoying and frustrating but nothing compared to my first 3-4 months after removal.

@@aliciadanielle230 Hi thanks for reaching out to me. What was your experience like on that 3rd month? I’m feeling so much up and down emotionally, physically. I’m exhausted all the time and need to sleep but really can’t. I get little cramping here. I’ve never had anxiety or panic attacks before. Just recently had my first encounter. Every little thing that makes my body feel weird or twinge I get super anxious. I’m praying this passing soon. My poor family

@@hinahina9224 I have never experienced anxiety/panic attacks/depression before in my life. My panic attacks stopped when I took my iud out and my anxiety stopped after a couple months until last month when I had a setback. I was exhausted all the time to the point it was even hard to make food for myself. I’m just starting to get my energy back now and back on to my morning routine. Like you I was trying to find answers for so long about how long this will last and unfortunately everyone is different. Now I really only experience things around pms but it’s slowly getting better. I had a really hard time handling my emotions, the intrusive thoughts, derealization, anxiety, depression, I literally got all of the side affects and it started to affect my job. My naturopath gave me 5HTP which really helped me focus at work and helped with my emotions. It does get better, unfortunately it’s a slow process, month 3 for me was the worst. If you can don’t isolate yourself, as shitty as I felt I would force myself to be around people, go to the gym and try to keep my routine as best I could.

I just removed my IUD the 6th May because my IUD got misplaced and gave me pain daily and alot of bad symptoms and after the removal the hormonal crash hit me. I am feeling so dead and exhausted and sometimes my legs feel num and I feel heavy dizzy like I am drifting away and can't stand on my legs for long or balance. I am even sometimes of focus like I am not there. And my Dr didn't tel me anything ,she just asked me if I want to put a new IUD in. No thank you. I want my body back. But thank you very much for the information, now I know I am not alone. And you two will help me alot, how to move through the phases.

I have been dealing with the Mirena crash for a few years now. Some years have been worse than others…and now I am in the worst stage. I went to 4 different doctors and they all told “nothing is wrong”. I am like so having 2-3 week long periods are normal? I doubt that…but they refused to say Mirena is at fault. My body has shut down the progesterone factory…and I have gained so much weight…have 2-3 week long periods…always tired (used to run and exercise a lot)…now I can barely get through my day without wanting to take a nap. I used to never eat sugary stuff…now I crave it. I have tried every supplement…every diet…nothing has worked. I almost thought about going back on BC to make it all stop again…but when I did…it made it worst. My next option is bio identical HRT…not ideal but something I thought I would do but it seems promising. I would never wish this on my worst enemy…I hope everyone going through this “crash” gets help for it…

What helped me the most was teaming up with a professional like Gina. Getting my labs done to understand where my body was deficient led me to making more customized and educated decisions for my body instead of blindly trying anything I found on Google. Wishing you the best on your body's healing process!
