@@benparkin6448 She was never mainstream lmao. She became famous for not making mainstream music at the time, she was a breath of fresh air amongst all the mainstream music. She hasn´t fallen off she is just not a fame hungry artist, she has stayed true to herself ever since she became famous but that also has made her boring to the masses because she isn´t changing her hairstyle or color or style all over the place like people expect from female artists. Taylor Swift said it best, if you´re not changing or doing something crazy every album you release then people will most likely lose interest, this mostly goes for female artists. People don´t expect as much from male artists and they usually don´t even have to do much on stage either to be loved. Sad but true.

Bella was great singing Skinny Love, but Birdy, OMG! I just... LOVE HER.

She's so talented!! Also she has such a delicate voice, which makes the effect of the song more personally effective.

Don't forget Bella doesn't know she was that good...and she is actually in a competition and is very nervous, there is a huge difference between competing and just a performance. The fact that her mum cried already proves that there is so much on the line..and she definitely didn't receive any vocal training or whatever..it is what i called raw talent...Try giving her a few years of training and practice...Bella would be just as good or even better.

I dont agree, Bellas version is sooo much better. I went to school for music and even my professor will tell you Bellas is soooooo much better!!!! The only reason Bellas may not add up quite as much is bc she doesnt have the experience in performing in front of ppl. Give her a cpl years, and she would be sooooo much better than Birdy!!!

Birdy set the standard to all these girls singing "Skinny Love". The first time I listened, I thought she pulled a bit over in the high notes. Most of those girls at the contests lacks some emotion. This song is hard to sing, and some girls go too plain, others go too high. This is a sad song and Birdy is the one who got closer to its meaning.

honestly i think Bella is WAY better, seeing she had no vocolization training or anything like that. I think Bella has raw talent inside her, i love Birdy but i dont think she can match all the potential that Bella has!

Wether the song is hers or not (I know it isnt) I believe she performs it outstandingly gorgeous, she is a very talented person so my respects to her

I have severe insomnia and at 10:48 at night I was trying to fall asleep so I started listening to this and started falling asleep because her voice was so angelic

In my opinion, lol. Birdy released SKINNY LOVE at the age of 14. She transformed a deeply heartfelt song into a hauntingly beautiful hit. Before anybody says that Bella Ferraro or Bon Ivor are better it must be noted that at 14 years Birdy could not have an emotional range that would have caused her to create anything different than the song she sings because she liked it and did it her way. She is talented and is getting the experience as she matures. The world will definitely be hearing more of her.

This is one of the most beautiful performances I have ever listened to.

Bon Iver's version was the original... simply put. Birdy's is absolutely brilliant. Bella's was also very very well done. All three have a different approach to it and all three are great... The arguing is pointless.
