Birds (44 minutes) february 15, 2016

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

I was just going to post a quick video of the footage...decided to post it all due to the fact this was a difficult shot to get....After it snows there are little caves/pockets made by various bushes...places where the birds can hang out from the wind and snow...I decided to make one of these pockets into a feeding station....
This was the third and most successful day of trying to get this shot...day one only a couple birds found the feeding station and the LED light melted the snow onto the camera.....day two more birds came yet there was a cave in...today was great....Hope to try again tomorrow now that all the birds know about this spot...only problem is it is supposed to rain!
starring tufted titmouse

Little tufted titmouses and juncos, so cute! I love the titmouses because they have a crest that makes them look like a blue/grey cardinal!

Thank you:) I enjoy watching the birds interact as well. I hope it snows again. The birds really stand out great with the snow as background. Also the snow reflects some great light:)

What a great idea! I have a cedar tree next to my feeders and it's getting a big, ol' hollow spot on the side facing my feeders. Maybe I need to scrape out the dead leaves and put some seed in there! Beautiful video, by the way. Lots of my favorite birds in this one. :)

Love your video! Thanks for sharing! What do you think the Titmouse is doing with all those peanuts he is carting off?

I read that titmouse, chickadees, nuthatches, red-belly woodpeckers, and some other feeder birds will cache their food. I have a titmouse that takes peanuts from my hand, and I believe that's what he does with the ones he doesn't eat.

Hope you put food without the birds watching you. Otherwise, this will not be good for their nature and behavior.
