Birdman at Brierleys (1971)

Local man Perry Whincup attempts to claim a £5 worth of groceries per week prize by flying from the roof of Brierley's supermarket and across the River Nene. Local strongman Walter Cornelius was waiting on the river to rescue the inevitable failed effort !

    Those were the days. I don’t remember him, but I certainly remember meeting Walter Cornelius and mr brierley the supermarket owner.😊

    I remember this guy, although I think his name was Perry, rather than Peter.
