Another addition to our Wild Karnataka Series, we are thrilled to present to you the beautiful birding experience we had at Anejhari Butterfly Camp.
Anejhari Butterfly Camp is a property by Jungle Lodges and Resorts, just about 80Kms from Udupi in Uttar Karnataka and about 6 kms from Kollur.
This is a property which offers a private experience of a River (Souparnika
River).
Like any JLR property, the arrangements are top notch. Staffs are courteous and one would feel no less than a home.
Coming to birding, we got many exotic birds as a lifer.
The elusive Malabar Trogan, Great Hornbill, Blue Eared Kingfisher, Black Capped Kingfisher, Crimson Backed Sunbird, Orioles, Woodpeckers, etc. were some exotic birds that we could manage to capture them in our frames.
A must must visit place for a nature lover and birding enthusiasts.
We also ventured out for a Trekking experience to Arsinagundi waterfalls, located just a few kms away from the camp area. Tough terrains and slippery routes, but once you reach, you know it was all worth it. Magical experience it was, witnessing a Waterfall away from all human disturbances.
We have covered many places in North Karnataka for our Wild Karnataka series, and we can proudly say that this has been one of the best experiences we had in terms of Birding, Trekking and a peaceful holiday.
