Lovely video Olle! Great footage ad beautiful images. I love picking a stick and hoping for birds to land on it. Unfortunately I've stared at a lot of empty sticks over the years but the thought of them landing on that perch always gets me excited. Keep it up Olle. Very enjoyable.

Good video.I have recently become obsessed with bird photography. The Sigma 500mm seems to be good for static bird photography. But full frame lenses are heavy and expensive, maybe I should consider the M43 system.

Sony (or Sigma 😝) must release light weight Tele Primes in the middle price range, like the Nikon 500 f5.6 pf or the Nikon 400mm f4.5 S for example. Lot of Sony wildlife shooters out of the 12k range. Greetings Olle!

Hi! I discovered your channel last week and I have to say, I love your videos! Footage quality, content and especially chill, peaceful atmosphere is just amazing! I started photography, and wildlife photography, last year with second hand Sony A6300 & Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 but I definately have to get more into it. I'm making photos mostly on walks and it's not easy to get close like that. However I was lucky enough to get some shots of white-tailed eagle flying close just 2-3 kilometers from my house in Poland. Met him few times. Also there are cranes (birds) all year nerby, but it's not easy to get close. I'm scratching my head about selling kidney and buying A7IV. Ok, I'm kidding about that kidney stuff 😏, but I really want to get one, but it's not cheap. And one day even 200-600mm Sony dream lens. Have you experienced some issues with A7IV+Sony 200-600mm and sharpnes? There are quite some topics on the web about that.

Appreciate it mare! Glad you like it! It’s all about being out as much as you can. You will stumble across beautiful wildlife that sometimes sit perfectly in perfect light. Then you just need to know you gear enough to capture it within the seconds! You’ll get that White-tailed eagle👊 No, Haven’t experienced any issues with that setup

Don't know if you have reception on location, but I normally use the rain radar to help me see if there is any rain about, and possibly predict when rain will roll over or pass around your location.

With Canon sometimes depending on the body it's impossible to zoom enough on the picture to see it it's sharp, your voice is very de-stressing ,calm

Hi, great video and review. Quick tipp, in Davinci Resolve (free app) you can stabilize your image (video footage) so you dont get big shakes and the video is smoother. Keep up the work ❤️

Hey! I don't know, I think it might work but I think the AF will get a hit on speed. but that's just a guess! :D

Check for the Buteo Photo Gear Raincover 500mm, they are not that expensive and very effective, used it many times in heavy rain 🌧️

Alltid lika bra! Har dock ångest, vänta på Sony IV eller styra en Z6 II.. Ser mörkt ut med leveranserna på Sony kamerorna och speciellt IV..

You shoot Sony cameras I know you do, so why are you using the MC 11 adapter is that a canon lens mount you’re adapting to a Sony I’m confused,..?

How much better is that tripod head over a normal/standard camera tripod head?

A gimbal head is great for long lenses like this beacuse it’s balanced. Meaning you can let go of the camera and lens i whatever direction and it will stay there. A Ball however, is loose until you lock it by a knob!

Hi Olle.. i'm seriously considering this lens to match with Sony A1.. with the MC11.. do you think all functions will work flawlessly? have you tried it with the A1, or A9 ii? i really need your advice thanks!

I think it will perform very good. But unfortunately I don’t have a really good answer to it! A native lens will definitely perform better but they are also a lot more expensive. I havenn’t tried it unfortunately!

I wanted to get the Canon 500mmr at 4 version one and the cheapest I found was $3,000. So I decided to look at the sigma. I can't find them for cheaper than $6,000

What is the name of song you are using for this film? 🎶

Do you prefer this Sigma over the 200-600G?

I prefer the image characteristics more of the Sigma (because of the aperture of f4) But the 200-600 is way more versatile and more easy to use when I’m out walking around. I’d go with the 200-600 if I’d choose one!

Hej har en sony A1 med sony 200-600 G om man jämför skärpan är sigman bättre där? Den ser skarpare ut. Har oxå den nya 70-200 gm version 2 som är betydligt skarpare än 200-600. Tror du man ångrar sig om man skulle bytt till sigman 500 ? Mvh Markus

Jag tycker de presenterar liknande i skärpa. Det är ju en adapterad glugg så A1an lär ju inte kunma köra 20fps och sådär med 500an. Kan vara nåt att ha i åtanke!
